Sure bring Chocolate World into this. Is nothing safe anymore? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I checked out the Vera Bradley website today. They are having a big sale on some of their stuff. I may have to break down and get the one I've been looking at.

I saw some of the retired prints were on sale. I'm trying to be good and not get tempted. I thought the duffle would make a good carry on but then I really do have something I can use and if I spend it on Vera, I won't have it to spend on Mickey. Mickey won!

I forgot to ask...which ones do you like? There are several I could live with. It's neat how you can see each style in each pattern.

I really like the Hipster. It seems like it would be just big enough for necessities and I wouldn't be tempted to carry a bunch of junk. And I can sling it across my body so I won't forget it anywhere.

Yeah, I could spend a good hour on that website just looking at all the different patterns.

I like the hipster too. I think the strap is nice---adjustable. I love the peacock pattern but not sure if it would be too bright. My favorite is the java blue (turquoise and brown) but it's not on sale! Which helps the temptation!

-------Look what I found!!! I was looking for a new good morning and hit the jackpot! It's just sooo cool! It's old because it has Bud but that's ok. Happy Wednesday!

Good morning friends! It is still raining up here. The salters were out last night because it had turned to sleet. I can't remember the last time I saw sunlight.

Miss Kitty over here has been having technical issues. My computer has just been running so slow. I thought it may have something to do with all the junk I downloaded last week with the Garmin fiasco. Computer seems to be doing well at the moment.

I'm using Mr. Darcy but at the moment I'm a bit miffed at him. I pretty much know my way everywhere around here but I'm trying Mr. Darcy out. I have a big stretch of road and he always says "drive 36 miles on Route 17 West" and then shuts up for all 36 miles. He should at least make pleasant conversation during that time.

M&N....one week baby!

I too am a huge fan of the sling bag, both in and out of Disney World. I'm just so afraid to put my bag down and forget about it completely (again). I also don't like having "bag cramps" from those purses with the small strap that you have to carry on your forearm. My elbow begins to hurt after a while.

I had a return to Target last night and although I didn't have my reciept, I was told that within 90 days, they could swipe the card used and find the transaction. They couldn't find it, kept telling me it was the wrong card. Went home and called the CC company, and they confirmed the transaction. Called Target customer service and asked why my transaction is no longer in the system. Got the most flippant condescending representative ever who actually told me "we live in a technical age, there are always glitches. There's nothing we can do for you". Aside from really getting me mad, the idea that my CC information has been lost really bothers me. AmEx is going to resolve the issue for me and if they cannot work with Target, my guaranteed refund policy is going to kick in.

Ah, the memories. I posted a dead thread as well as killed someone else's. I almost forgot what that felt like. I'm planning to buy my DIsney tickets soon. I've been reading how the best plan is to buy the 4/3 tickets, upgrade it to non-expire before going to the park then use once. Go back later and upgrade further to AP. Save money this way. Wanted to double check if this was the right procedure. No responses. Going to wait a few days and see if anyone else gets the answers I"m looking for.

Ok, enough babbling from me. Didn't watch AI last night, have never caught Gordon Ramsey. Didn't watch Dancin. Been catching up on early seasons of Brother and Sisters. I really am starting to like that show.

have a good day everyone!

Kitty---You should know you can't trust men for directions....and polite conversation? Forget it. :rotfl2:

I'm guarding my Target receipt with my life...I got mom Sonic toothbrush heads and they don't look the same but say they are to match her toothbrush. I just hope since she has an older model, they changes the look at the brush part.

My computer goes slow sometimes too. I think Racetrack said she thought the DIS was slow last night.

Next Wed I'll be very hyper...like I'm not already. I don't leave until almost 8 pm. So it'll be a long day...

M&N...8 o'clock?! Please tell me you have a direct flight!

The problem with a later flight is what to do during the day. You just want to go already!

Unfortunately...I was so excited to get a cheap rate, I didn't check the am/pm part! I'll get there around 11:30. I was so upset when I figured it out...at least a week later, I called my friend and was almost in tears. She said it was ok. He was working that day and had the next 4 off to do stuff with me. I was so careful to not take the 5:05 am flight home and didn't see the flight down. I guess because it has the same times as an am flight I took before. I do change in Charlotte. It was cheaper than the direct flight from Harrisburg.

I went for the cheap flights too, but it will be a miserable trip.

Flying alone down, have stops in both Philly and Charlotte. Don't get into Orlando until 9:30. There is an earlier flight out of Charlotte that I'm going to try standby for. Arriving the night before my family gets there, so I have all evening to get to Orlando and pick up the car.

Bought the tix for my nieces to come back to NY, so price was definitely an issue. Took the cheap 5:05 am flights. Saw later they opened seats on the 6:55, but can't transfer. Again, two layovers. I figure they're young, they can suffer. and I get to save $70/per ticket. Everyone's happy!

MagiKitty You know men don't like to talk. ;)
M&N I couldn't take waiting for an 8 pm flight. I'd have a meltdown. :hyper:

Afternoon!!!! The weather isn't too nice here today. Clouds and more clouds. Had a slight misting going on this morning. I'm hoping for some sunshine tomorrow. It's been too many days without it.

pepper, glad we could make you laugh. :goodvibes

M&N, 8pm flight. Oh, I couldn't last all day waiting to go. I would go crazier than I already am. :rotfl:

Magikitty, I don't like the purses that go over your arm either but that kind is actually what I am using right now. DH went and bought all on his one of times he was out of town. It was so sweet and unexpected that I had to use it.

Kids homework time. Be back later!!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Pleasant conversation? Keep dreaming!

Your Target situation is exactly why I ALWAYS use my AMEX card. They have saved my b*tt more than once in a dispute with a business. Go get 'em Kitty!!

Good afternoon ladies! Just popping in to say hi! Haven't had a chance to go way back and catch up but I hope everyone is feeling a bit more healthy, somewhat wealthy or at least getting by and at least a lot wise! Figured with our vast amounts of wisdom around here we could at least claim that one! :rotfl2:

It finally rained here! I don't remember the last time we saw rain. Unfortunately, it's cold too. Oh well, it will be great for my garden. On the flip side, not so great cause DH probably won't work the next few days. We could use the money plus he upsets our whole groove here at home when he stays home. While I'm on the annoying husband thought..... I'll share this one with you....

To Be 6 Again...

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have
for her Birthday.

'I'd like to be six again', she replied, still looking in the mirror.

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day!
He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming MonsterRoller Coaster, everything there was.
Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.

He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure! Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted.

He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, 'Well Dear, what was it like being six again??'

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed.
'I meant my dress size, you dumb ***!'

The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he's gonna get it wrong.

Ain't that the truth!!!!! :rotfl:

MagiKitty, I hope you get your credit card problem straight. I had something strange happen with my Disney card. Actually, it first started with a package from Newegg.com that was delivered to my house. It had our address but someone else's name and was nothing we had ordered. I do actually have an account with them but have not used it but once several years ago. About the same time the package got here I happened to check my card and there was a $500 charge from, you guessed it, Newegg. So I call both Newegg and Chase to find out what I need to do. I ship the stuff back and they issue me credit. Unfortunately, my card had now been compromised so they had to cancel the card and issue a new one. Wouldn't be a big deal except I have several things directly billed and I really like the fact that I have my number memorized. Oh well. Anyway, I am still trying to figure out why anyone would USE my card and then not ship it to themselves? :confused3 Not sure how they could have benefited. :confused3 So, to me, it sounded more like a billing error but Newegg didn't seem to think so, or even really care. I had a name from the package and they did not even want it! Same with the credit card company. So they really do anything to try to track down fraud? Or just write it off? This is actually the 2nd time someone has gotten a hold of my credit card info. Same card even. I feel so violated! Guess I am just an easy target.... although I am still secretly thinking Newegg screwed up.

Wow..... that was long and rambly. See what happens when I stay gone to long! :sad2:

I am still screening quotes for a vacation rental in Florida. I must have gotten over 100 responses from Windsor Hills alone! :scared1: Assuming our finances don't drop anymore, I am pretty sure we are going to go with a house. Mainly because we prefer privacy. Also, since the main reason we have decided to go to WDW over DL this year is so DS can meet up with several friends he has is Florida, I am hoping with the extra room that they will be able to come to us instead of us having to wander all over Florida and maybe just stay with us if we have the extra room. I am also making a pool and game room top priority in our search to help keep a group of teenagers entertained... and the rest of us, assuming we have any energy left at the end of each day to take advantage of them under our roof. Anyway, I am still searching and comparing and sending our requests for quotes in hope that I find the PERFECT place to call our home for 2 weeks. I will be glad when I choose something because it is time consuming! Of course, if I find one and then our finances take a drastic change I will probably crack and finally lose my mind.... completely! :scared:

Everybody have a nice evening! :flower3:

Hey Marie---Glad to hear from you. I guess we should be more thankful credit cards don't get more screwed up. All those numbers could get mixed up---especially with the kind of illerate people going in the workplace. That company's computer probably automatically put your address on it since it was your credit card number. I'm surprised they didn't try and blame it on you. Mom had money taken out of her banking account 2 months in a row and they asked her if a family member had access to the account. They never did tell her whay happened but gave her a new account number.

I watched a food channel program from Disneyland. They had a challenge to decorate a cake to represent what a particular family was celebrating. The winner had a Mickey that really wasn't that great.

Mom told me an ex-Idol said Danny was going to win!

The worse thing I did today was go through my sock drawer. :scared1: I did find some without partners and some I just didn't think I wanted on my feet again. :rotfl:

You mean there are really people who get around to doing stuff like that? I guess if I did go through my sock drawer every now and then I wouldn't have such a hard time getting everything crammed in and getting the drawer shut!

My organization and housekeeping skills took a complete nosedive after I had kids. I did figure I would have come by it genetically anyway because my mom always had a layer of dust on everything but having kids certainly did not help.

Cheers for you for braving the sock drawer!
