Four-mer TKers...4 one, 4 all, 4 ever

Hi everyone,
I took the day off yesterday, no internet just old fashion book reading. :badpc:
Gee, I missed the undies on the line conversation. When my mom would hang clothes the undies went on the inside line (we had 5 lines). Then the outer clothes and towels would hide them from view.
It actually rained last night. Still cloudy today. It was so nice to go for a walk without a dust cloud surrounding you. :upsidedow

Wow...I got M&N to blush! Hope I didn't offend anyone with that remark. Don't wanna get
1.gif
from this thread. Only 9 days left M&N!!!:woohoo:

Whgrn - sorry you've been missing out on PT time. Did they give you any exercises that you could do on your own while you wait? :rolleyes1

If Lighttech is out there, I am feeling her pain of having sick kids who just can't seem stay well for very long. :guilty: My DS6 is home sick today  with a fever and bad cough. Poor guy is miserable. Seems like someone has been sick almost every week since Christmas. CAN'T WAIT FOR SPRING!!!

Yeah, like you could EVER get Banned from TKers! :lmao:

Yes, I have exercises I do twice a day religiously. Thank God, since that's ALL I have so far! I did get a call that a sub will be here tomorrow for my PT, but don't know when. Fortunately, I will start outpatient PT in 2 weeks, and I KNOW that will go ok!

Sorry your DS is sick. Hope he's feeling better soon, and that the whole family is well!

Good afternoon friends! Its raining here, has been since last night. Weather seems to be getting warmer. I can only hope it stays this way. Did get to wear my rain boots though. I love those. I also have a Mickey raincoat, but its too light, but have hopes of busting that baby out in a few weeks.

:cool1: :cool1: Single digit dance for M&N!

DL55...what a wonderful way to spend a Sunday! What did you read, if I may ask? I finished Rhett Butler's People the other day. I thought it was wonderful! It was so interesting to see things from Rhett's point of view. It explained the relationship between him and Belle Watling. Does anyone want it?

D&D....sorry the little guy is home sick. Hope the fever breaks soon. This has been an atrocious sick season. I still have my cough, but its getting less and less frequent. I just need it gone by next month.

Wendy, sorry to hear about the PT! Do not try to drive! Between the Percocet and the slick roads, that is not a good combination! Just relax and move yourself a little bit.

oooh, I LOVED Rhett Butler's People! VERY interesting book!

MK, I am staying put now that it's raining. I did drive over to DS's school (1.5 miles) to drop off his meds to the nurse, but it wasn't rainging yet. And I haven't taken ANY Percocet yet today, so I was as clearheaded as I get.

The nurse was just here to draw my blood. I have crummy veins--she had to stick me twice, and barely got enough blood for the test. I think I need a spigot or something that you could just turn on and off when I need to give blood!

M&N I am SOOOOOO envious! Wish *I* was going to WDW!!

MagiKitty Rhett Butler's People sounds interesting. I have read Gone with the Wind but I haven't read the sequel that came out a while back. I like fantasy books. I'm reading Natural Ordermage by L.E. Modestt, Jr. He writes about a world like ours but there are wizards that can perform magic. It sounds so real (well except the magic part  ) that I get caught up in it and don't want to stop reading. I also like Piers Anthony's Xanth series. It's light hearted pun filled easy reading. Do you get the idea I like to escape in my reading? No serious real life stuff for me. :lmao:
whgrn I'm sure the phlebotomists wish people had spigots too! :rotfl2: I know because I have drawn blood before.

Hi Ladies:

Boy lots to read again!

I'm also loving the Amazing Race this season. Such great teams!

I am watching the amazing race also. I really like the mother/son team. How challenging it must be for him to try and stay competitive with all of the "hearing" teams.

I'm enjoying the Race as well...I wonder if the fact that the Mom/son used the U-turn will come back to haunt them...it always seems to lead to the downfall of any team that uses it.

Ev, your card arrived today and I nearly wet myself laughing!!! Y'all have sent some really funny ones.:) :) :)

Glad you liked it and that it got there OK.

Kids got report cards today and both did great :thumbsup2

What---did you all forget how to chat? Seems like everyone's busy I guess. I watched DWTS...I guess I'm rooting for the little cowboy. He was pretty bad...but cuteness has to be factored into it too, right? Melissa---the jilted fiancee of the bachelor, wasn't too bad. She only had 2 days to practice but had ballet as a child.
We didn't get rain today. The sun was in and out. Very pretty day.
Guess I'll go lurking on other threads...

I don't know if it's just my computer but the dis is running so slow for me. It's taking forever to get here.

D&D, I feel your pain with the sick kids. We go through that at least once a year. The 3 of them that are in school are in different schools so it's 3 times the viruses coming home. It will get better soon enough. Until then, here's a little :flower3: . Oh yeah, did you watch the race? Did you see that crew guy run across pit road and the grass? Not smart at all. :sad2:

DL55, I agree, what a great way to spend a Sunday. I wish I could spend a whole day reading.

Magikitty, you still have that cough. I had it pretty bad too and it s*cked. Hope it's better soon.

Mom would hang the laundry out to dry too in the summer...heck just about anytime it wasn't cold enough to freeze. But all "undies" were hung over the upstairs railing. Thank goodness we didn't get too many unexpected visitors. :rotfl:

My background color keeps changing. It's California gold now. I had it in the default mode. What are they trying to do to us?

Yeah! That guy running after the tire got a talking to when he got back to the pits too. Most of the race was boring. How can so many get laps down? They kept saying what a good race it was going to be with side by side racing and I thought most of it was just boring. Can you believe they advertized for Bristol tickets? Man would I love to go there.

Hi everyone! What a beautiful weekend we had here. High 70's on Saturday, so I sat outside and read all day. Yesterday was near 80 so I cleaned the van top to bottom while DH painted the porch (ain't we just loads of fun ha ha). Today I was not feeling well so I called in sick and spent the day outside in my lounge chair reading The Sun also Rises by Earnest Hemingway. Next time I try to get cultured, remind me how BORING that book was. Oh well, I made an effort and got to page 130 before I finally gave up, looked up the ending in the cliff notes and moved on.

OK Ladies I know I have been absent for the last week- it has been crazy-now DH says he wants to go to a new company---:scared1: in this economy?????
DH was in San Fran this week the valley last-we have seen him 1 day in 2 weeks- he missed DD first band concert (and was in tears about it)
I am spearheading a fundraiser for DD's band
She is in a new school (public) as you all know, that has been going through a lot of changes- her one band director teaches at 3 schools in the area each day (thanks to the cut in Liberal Arts programs in school:sad2: )

I am going to post the email
I am sending out to friends and family and you can read it and go on. If there is anything you want to order that would be great if not that is fine too. If I didn't post this shameless promotion I wouldn't feel I was doing my part to help the kids.:

Hey, what a great idea for PC to be online! Do you mind if I send this around to my friends? I love PC!!! I will have to go figure out something to buy.

Boy miss a day and you guys yak for five pages!!!

Let's see if I can remember everything...I'm only on my first coffee :surfweb:

Sukie - Congrats to your hubby!

I think they brought her back for the ratings...but I'm assuming the American public will toss her soon enough...it does suck not being able to vote...we don't get to vote at all so I have to hope that my fav doesn't get the boot. I haven't decided yet who I like...last time I picked MK's boyfriend David right from the start, but this time no one has stood out so far...has anyone else got a fave yet??

I'm looking forward to a quiet day...DH has gone to Toronto to pick up a new seat for his Harley so won't be home until late afternoon, kids are at school...what will I get up to??

Sorry, I missed this the other day. I will be happy to cast a vote for you as well. Just let me know who to vote for. I am always on Tuesdays so I can vent about the contestants on the Idol thread. :rotfl:

I haven't watched AI yet this season. I usually wait until it gets down a little. You said you would be on that thread so I just went there to see if you were. :rotfl: The comments are pretty funny.

Vegas...Disney...Vegas...Disney. I'm trying not to picture Elvis or Wayne Newton with Mickey ears, :rotfl: The important thing is to go somewhere and relax...

Now I am picturing Elvis with Mickey Ears. :rotfl: I just thought of the perfect vacation. A Disney World type place with slot machines. :thumbsup2 Walt would be proud. :rotfl2:

I just had to get back here and post this email I just got!

Your income taxes are normally due on April 15th unless that date falls on a Saturday or Sunday in which case they are due on Monday the 16th or 17th.

However, I have been told that there has been a recent change and
for the next 4 years, they will not be due until you are nominated to
a cabinet position.

Please check with your Tax adviser to confirm.

Morning All,

Although the sun is out and it is going to be up to 60* today:sunny:, I am very bummed. Due to the bad economy, my school informed me that they will not be renewing my contract for next year. This so stinks because I love my job and it has been part-time with hours around my kids' school hours, so I can be with them after school, off days, etc. I hate to go back to subbing next year, cause at some schools I can't get out in time to pick up my kids - thus I'd have to pay for after school care.
This economy really stinks!!!!!

Congrats Pepper!!! Do you have any openings there for an educator/trainer?

Oh my! I'm sorry about the job. Maybe things will get better soon. Did you hear about the teachers that had similar lay offs and instead of allowing any of the teachers to be laid off next year they all decided to work one day without pay and donated those hours for next year. Maybe you guys could do something like that. I will definitely keep you in my prayers.

To answer your question, we do have trainers, and they are real teachers like you, but they are also ex-Navy technical types. They teach some Navy program...no clue what it is :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good Sunday morning everyone! Hope everyone's plans for a restful or errand-filled day is successful.

Tomorrow is my mother's and Barbie's birthday (although Barbie is a bit younger). I have no idea what to get Mom. She is absolutely the worst person to shop for. The family is just having family dinner on Friday to celebrate. I did make cupcakes though.

Racetrack, I'm so happy that things are going so well for your family, esp with DS. Tell him congrats on his "license to drive".

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KITTY'S MOMMY!!!!!!

party: :Pinkbounc :goofy: :mickeyjum :daisy: :butterfly

I would too.

When I was younger and my mom hung out the clothes, I got her to hand out everything EXCEPT the undergarment load.

It was mortifying even though I was only a little kid. Plus they lived on the corner of a major highway type road so there was always allot of traffic. Boy I sure do miss those visits though!

My BF is weird about that too. He's always like, "you shouldn't hang those, people will see them". Now, I don't wear anything racy! I don't mind people knowing I wear underwear! He doesn't know that you're not supposed to put feminine delicates in the dryer...I guess I should be embarrassed just how dull my undies are.

And he's worries that someone may steal my hanging laundry. That may be an issue...but I figure if they need to steal my stuff, they're probably in a worse place than I am and maybe could use it. Of course, I still be pretty mad if someone stole my clothes!

Especially if they are stolen by someone with a fettish!

Hee hee, if someone has a fetish about Hanes panties, I'D give them some racier panties just to spice it up a bit! :lmao:

Man, I miss all the fun. :laundy:

Hey---just saw this: Magic Kingdom has a new temporary meet and greet area for Pinocchio. This area is to the left of City Hall as you enter the park. This area is to promote the DVD release of Pinocchio March 10, 2009. It is open for photos and autographs until April 3, 2009.

Hey pepper!!!! Thought I was going to have to attempt to do some "maintenance" on my computer. That doesn't always turn out so well. :rotfl:

Glad you got to enjoy the beautiful weather on Saturday. I hid in the house while I sent the whole family outside. Peace and quiet is so hard to come by.

Peace and quiet is a sacred thing indeed.

Don't I know it with the 4 kids, my DH and a dog.

I saw you one a Hell's Kitchen thread last week. You watch that too?

Me too, me too! DH's boss is from England and he says his boss is exactly the same way. Very wicked temper. Flies off the handle at the slightest thing. But I could listen to either one all day....foul language and all. :rotfl:

I'm here! Really I am! I wrote you all the other day, but the darn computer locked up before I posted and I lost the whole thing.
I just have a sec, but I wanted to check in...

Hope you all are well. Someday I'll get free time again. (Maybe in 18 years or so... :rolleyes1 )

Mornin' Lighttech!

Race- Sorry, computer crashed and burned on me last night. :rotfl:
