Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

I am jealous. I do not have any adorable girls to take to the parks with me. I do have two granddaughters but by the time I see them again they are likely to be all grown up and not likely to want to go to BBB. Hey, maybe I will have great granddaughters and still have some energy left. One never knows what life will bring. :hippie:

I have one grandson who would love to go to DW with me but he says that "Those People" (his parents) will not take him. I must remember to start telling my DD that I actually hate DW and maybe she will change her attitude? I am willing to pay for Universal tickets for the sil who loves thrill rides though.

Off to play with the Community Center kids in a bit. This will be our first session of the new school year. They get tickled at the fact that I am at DW so much. Just one of the kids, that is I.

If anyone wants to increase their readership they might try posting something negative. Seems to work.:rotfl2: Nothing like a good fight to get a crowd!!

Hi Jo!

I think it's so neat that they have the photopass guys hanging around at the waterparks! Since people don't tend to bring their cameras, you don't often see pics from there. :)

Next time (4 long years from now), I will make sure we make it to a waterpark. Great idea to get there so early that you're done before anybody else even arrives. :snooty:

We haven't tried Earl of Sandwich yet either -- I'll have to put that on my list.

Great update as always (and a very busy day). :hippie:
Thanks Lisa, 4 years wow you'll have planned a great vacation by then :rotfl2: Tink would love the water parks :thumbsup2

Linda you've so got to take your Grandson, it would be so much fun for both of you :goodvibes

:bitelip: I can't afford the points!
T you disappoint me :sad2: Don't tell me you didn't go in the store just to see what they stocked :rotfl2:

Hi, Jo!

Great, great, great pictures! :cool1:

Glad your eye must better!

Back in 1999 they built a DQ in downtown Chicago, and my friends and I went. It was fun. It's gone now, and they didn't have as many things as they do now, but the Jungle Cruise sounded most familiar. :) My favorite thing was the design-your-own roller coaster. :thumbsup2

My company's all gone, so post at will! I will NOT be behind again! :rotfl:

Just wanted to say "hi!"... I have a ton of schoolwork to grade from the last two days! I better behave and get of the DIS boards!!! :surfweb:

winkers, yes they do have a Virgin Store however they do not sell 'seconds; or 'slightly used' items.

cmp1111, we are such hicks that we once stopped at an overpass in Chicago cause we had never seen them with fast food restaurants on them before. It was my son's favorite part of that vacation. Mine was getting away from the Chicago traffic.

DisneyJo, my grandson thinks that I should take him as well but with my health I would be scared to take him so far away from home if something happened. A friend of my daughter's who is also a friend of mine is planning on taking her kids sometime and we have discussed myself and the grandson going along. I could babysit at night and she could take all the kiddo's on the big park days where I could not keep up. Sounds like a plan. :cheer2:

OK, that's funny! PM me, if you wish, with details of where you live in IN. I was born in Terre Haute... :rolleyes1 I don't want to get Jo in trouble by going off-topic.

cmp1111, I PM'd you with my answer as I did not want to get anyone in trouble. I got kicked off a thread years ago for going off topic and so we moved over to the CB and are still going SIX years later!!! :thumbsup2

People keep talking about getting 'points'. I have never had nary a one. Wonder how that happened? I have also never been tagged. Maybe I am invisible or something?? I know I am loud enough!!

The posed Test Track picture is a riot.:lmao:

I woke about 7am to see the privacy curtain shut and the bathroom lights on, fearing one of the girls was ill I got up and found Ellie sitting on the floor doing a puzzle book :confused3 WTH she was doing goodness knows :rotfl:

Today was shopping day and the girls had a huge amount of Birthday money to spend, they had both asked all their relatives for $ instead of a pressie and both received an astounding $370 :faint: Lucky girls, wish I’d have had that much spending money :lmao:

We ate the previous nights croissants in the room, wandered down to the main lobby, posting the postcards on the way, bell services got us a taxi and we were on our way to the Florida Mall. Is it just me or do you all hate seeing the money going up and up and up in a taxi  It wasn’t too bad though at $40 including the tip.

Our purchases – I got some brown MJ crocs, sneakers and a wallet (yeah I know, how did I contain myself ;)), David bought a few polo shirts, sneakers, some ripcurl swim shorts and a hat (beanie), Jess got pink MJ’s & sneakers and both girls bought several DS games. We then found the Build a Bear shop and they were in heaven, everything was half the price it is in England (well all our purchases were) and they made the most of it! They both chose a new bear, well rabbits actually, even though I think they’re too old for any more stuffed animals they obviously don’t think so!!!! Then they splashed out on several outfits, Ellie got a bargain of 2 Disney costumes for $20 and named her bunny Tinkerabbit :rotfl2: We grabbed a bite to eat at some sub takeaway which was OK and by about 3pm we had had enough and taxied back to CSR, it was $40 again, maybe we’ll hire a car next time, if we’re brave enough, as I still didn’t get to a Target or Walmart!

We had a lovely swim back at the CSR quiet pool I think there were only 2 other people in it, I got some laundry done, I love the US machines you can just get so much in them, I also came prepared bringing my own detergent, conditioner and dryer sheets.

Even though we’d shopped all day we decided to dine at DTD, this may have something to do with David hating the PM. We had our longest wait, 30 minutes, for the bus but we finally got there! First stop well it was Goofy’s of course, we had more SC’s to use up :rotfl2: Between us, well the girls and me, we got a lovely piece of delicious fudge, which didn’t make it back to CSR :rolleyes1 some big sherbet straws, lolly’s and of course some more make your own rice crispy cakes!!!! We still had 30 SC’s left  :thumbsup2

We decided to eat at WGPExpress, I got the Quesadilla which was nice but too much sauce on the top and the others had pizza which they said were lovely. We had cookies and Brownies for dessert, well we took them for later :rotfl:

A little back story, David saw a Chicago Bulls NBA cap in the sports store on our first visit to DTD but it was quite expensive, he even went right up to the counter to pay, well I said hang on until after our shopping trip as we may find it cheaper, uhh well nope we didn’t so whilst we were here he went to buy it and guess what, no caps  Remember this!!!!

We caught the boat over and again went into the Virgin store where David and the girls bought loads of CD’s and more DS games, BTW the prices here were exactly the same as the Florida Mall. Here’s the only photo of the day of Ells and I on the boat yes we're both really windswept but I couldn't post without a piccie could I :rotfl:

P1010065.jpg

We were home by 9.20pm and ready for lots of stalking tomorrow :rotfl: Click here

BTW if you all can't see the lump on my eye in that photo you all need serious glasses :rotfl2:

It wasn’t too bad though at $40 including the tip.
Well, that was probably more expensive than the bus, but certainly less confusing! I couldn't remember what you had decided. And yes, I hate seeing the numbers go up. It costs us $18 one time to go from the Hilton DTD to Bomas (and it irritated the crap out of me!)
Our purchases –
Good shopping deals! Glad they liked Build a bear. I have banned it from BA cause she has too many as it is (and only likes them whilst IN the store!)
But they are cute!

I'm still waiting on that postcard, tho! ;)

:yay: I am first!:yay: NEVERMIND!TE beat me...

Okay i definitely need to take you shopping next year! $80 in taxi!:scared1:

It does sound like you all got some great stuuf though.:thumbsup2 Nothing better than a day of shopping.:woohoo:

I have never been to Goofy's but you have convinced me I have to go in January.:goodvibes

Uh Oh was david upset?about the hat? hope he finds one...

I must need glasses I don't see anything but a loverly lady and an adorable girl with the best dimples.:goodvibes No lump anywhere...:confused3

Sounds like your family has much more control than me when hitting up the US malls. I spent about $500 on my weekend trip to visit my grandparents.:scared: That was all in one afternoon.:guilty:
