We have our own personal ECV, but it is ancient and is quite frankly, wearing out. We took it to a local place and they are going to look at it and see if it's worth fixing or needs a new motor. In the meantime, they offered to rent us one for $80.00 for an ENTIRE WEEK. I couldn't believe it.

Granted we won't have support for it 600 miles away in Orlando, but I figure if we do have problems with it, we can park it in the hotel and call Randy's or one of the other places and rent from them and be no worse off price wise than if we rented from them in the first place. If we don't have problems, then the savings will be incredible!!!

So, that's something folks might want to consider is checking local places for an ECV rental. If you don't live in a tourist town, the price difference could be significant!!!

Yes. It is a good deal. More than likely it is a used ECV which they took in trade for a new one and want to get some money out of it while they are trying to sell it.

But I notice that you have a travel trailer and obviously have the space to transport it. Most people driving to WDW do not have room in their vehicle for both luggage and an ECV. And if going by air, having your own ECV with you can be a real hassle; a few months ago when I went to Disneyland and was going to have to change planes both ways and use a hotel shuttle at least once it was easier for me to rent there rather than take my own ECV,

We travel with our ECV by air all the time. It is really not a hassle. And yes, we have room in the truck for the ECV. I have also taken it to Disneyland by air and used the Super Shuttle both directions. They were top notch with their service. (As a matter of fact, I took it to DL by air, then direct to WDW by air, then back home). I HAVE not had to change planes with it though. We really try to get direct/nonstop flights with the ECV.

I'm just reporting what we found. It may not work for everyone, but for this instance it will work for us.
