I got a call from the adoption center tonight. They gave my babies their shots and a checkup. When it turned out that they were healthy, they took them to an adoption that they had set up for today. Both went to loving homes that were excellent matches. I'm feeling so good about it now. She said they'll make sure that they both get fixed when they are old enough, but they're in homes for the holidays.
Timber went to a family that drove all the way from Missouri to see him. They had a little girl and they were looking for a really big dog. The vet could tell that they were part Great Pyrenees because they had two dewclaws on their back legs. That means they will be very big dogs. The family loved Timber and so did their little girl. They checked out to be a perfect match and they took him home with them to Missouri.
Wolf went to a family much like my own. They had two teenagers, one girl and one boy. She said they sat in the pen and took turns holding and loving him for the longest time. She said she could tell that he was eating it up and they were crazy about him. So he went home with them in Arkansas.
I told my DH it's like this was where they were supposed to go. My heart is a lot lighter tonight. Thanks again for all the positive thoughts and the help you all gave. Isn't it nice when a story has such a happy ending?
