DH is off work today.

I gave the kids the day off from school.

We'll be doing our annual Veteran's Day Parade a little later this morning.

Yesterday, I did not forget it was Veterans Day. I chose to take the day to listen to and observe all the wonderful things that everyone had to say about our awesome vets.
Awesome is a word that doesn't begin to describe the feelings I have for all the women and men that have, and still, serve for this nation. These are the finest amongst us, these are the ones who love their families, we the people, and this nation so much that they gave their best and many times their lives so that we can enjoy the everyday aspects of freedom that we have in our lives.
I know that I for one, am guilty of this and need to be reminded from time to time that we walk amongst the greatest group of individuals in the world that daily deserve our awe, gratitude, and respect,
the United States Veterans.
