Is there a formal night on the Fantasy Eastern route? My daughter wants to do the bbb, so I'd like to get it on formal night. Also what night does Pirate night usually occur?

Yes it does! Formal night is normally on Day 2 and pirate night is on Day 4 (Tortola)

As of the current schedule, formal night is the first sea day (Sunday), and pirate night is night 4 (tortola). This certainly could change, though formal night fleetwide on 7 night cruises is the first sea day.

I just got back from the 1/28 Eastern, and I concur with PPs. 2nd night (1st sea day) is formal, and 4th night (Tortola) is Pirate Night.

There is a formal night, a semi-formal night, a Pirate-themed night, and all other nights are cruise casual. Not everyone chooses to dress up for formal & semiformal night, unfortunately, but most people make some effort. On pirate night you'll receive DCL pirate bandanas in your room to wear if you like, so you don't have to bring a pirate costume to participate in the theming. Cruise casual is a cut above jeans and t-shirts: think slacks & collared shirts for men, capris or skirts and blouses for women.

Something to note is whether you are on a SWDAS sailing. This will change the theme a bit in regards to semi formal/Captains Gala night and menu.

For example, our cruise looked like this for our Western Itinerary (which would be about the same for the Eastern since SWDAS is Thursday.
Saturday: Cruise Casual
Sunday: Formal night (aka Super Bowl Sunday on our cruise )
Monday: Pirate Night (Mexico)
Tuesday: Cruise Casual (Cayman Islands)
Wednesday: (Jamaica) and Semi Formal/Captains Gala/ Lobster night
Thursday: SWDAS and an incredible menu! I hope this menu gets put into rotation!
Friday: See Ya real Soon and cruise casual

I can only imagine the Eastern route had the same semi formal night change and menu as did the Western.

IS it hard to get BBB reservations on formal/semi-formal nights? My daughter wants to do BBB on our cruise and I'd like to coordinate it with a dress-up night! For the guys, what's the difference in attire between formal and semi?
