Could anyone hazard a guuss as to which night will be the formal night for the 7 day Alaska cruise? I want to book a BibbiDi BobbiDi appointment for my granddaughter on that dae.

In the past, Day two at sea has been the formal night. And often, the Day 5 after leaving Juneau night has been semi-formal.

On DCL, formal night is always on the first full sea day.
Except, inexplicably, on the Hawaii to Vancouver cruise, where people have been told it's on the 2nd night of the cruise, in spite of being in port that day with a 10 p.m. all aboard time.

Formal night is day 2 of 7 night cruises regardless if it is a sea day

My sister called in for our July 4 Alaska Cruise and got the following information:

Rotation 1
Triton
Animator’s Palate (Formal)
Animator’s Palate
Tiana

That's weird, semiformal is normally night 6 I think

Looking at an old navigator for Alaska, it seems the captains dinner rotates days 5-8 along with the dinner rotation. Im having a hard time picking my palo night! I’ll follow what was just posted, thank you for that.

also, night 3 was frozen night on those, so I suppose it makes sense that night 3 isn’t a new restaurant/menu as everyone has the same special menu.

Not to hijack the thread, but do they do the signature experiences(like Animator's Palat's drawings) on the first night? This is our first time on the Wonder and we booked Palo for the first night.

On Wonder, there are two shows in Tiana's, so if your first night is in that MDR, you'll miss the show featuring the band. They do the Mardi Gras parade on your second (nonPirate night) visit. Animation Magic is usually done during the second visit to AP unless you get it three times. For that rotation, the 2nd visit is Pirate night and the third is Animation Magic.

This lines up with what I received from Shoreside Concierge.

I've already booked Palo, but am struggling with whether to keep dinner or not. (We have brunch booked as well.). We had thought to do it Glacier night, but we have the later Glacier Expedition and we don't want to miss the Frozen stage show. So many decisions, and time is quickly cruising along! It's getting so close!

We have decided to only do brunch at Palo and have dinner in the Main Dining Room as a family with the little ones. We can use the extra $$$ per person we would pay and go to a nice restaurant at home.
