Forgot to Bank Points

So i missed the memo about the new banking rules, or maybe I got it and didnt understand it! But just realized I have 109 points left, with a March use year. I am out of the country until Thursday. Does anyone know if DVC/Member Services still does that one time goof up, and would bank my points? Or is this something I can try online?

Yes, give them a call or e-mail them. There was just a post recently where someone forgot to bank and was able to get the "one time exception".

Typically you can bank points online, but I would make the call and ask for forgiveness I have heard that they may allow the banking after the bank date.

I am buying a small resale contract with points that I think will not have been banked so perhaps I should try a mercy call once (hopefully) close.

Update - they were more than happy to do it. They said my records don't show that I make alot of changes, or requests? didn't know what that ment, and then she put me on hold, and said no problem. But to know I just used my one time allowance?? Or something like that. Found it odd but they did it!

Yes, supposedly everyone gets "one time" allowance for banking beyond the norm. I haven't had to use it yet in more than 12 years, so here's hoping I don't ever need to!

How "new" are the banking rules? I bought in 2007 have they changed since then?

My understanding is instead of having 4 different times you could bank (based on a % of your points), you have one time, I have a March use year, so I have till 10/31 to bank my points.

No changes have been made since 2007. I think the banking deadlines were last changed in 2006 along with the point transfer rules.
