I always wonder what the complainers' houses look like.
There were stains on the carpets, there was stained grout and chipped bathroom tiles, the lights were out in the atrium chandelier for the whole trip, there were ceiling tiles out in different areas for the whole trip, our bedding was worn. I was there. These are facts not opinions.
What I think about DCL or the condition of the ship is an opinion. Some people will think the ship is fine others wont like it but the conditions I observed are still there.
The problem is when anyone posts facts like these, the apologists try to gloss it over, discount it as hyperbole or attack the poster as you have done to me.

It is my understanding that the Magic will undergo a refurb in late September after the last NYC 2012 cruise. That should address some of the issues I have read on here.![]()
I feel like something like the bedspreads could have been done before the ny sailings. Has anyone here complained about her condition and received a response. We sail next week and I am sure the spreads won t ruin it but wear does not add to the magic experienced
While the bedspreads aren't brand spanking new, I'd hardly consider them horrendous (as a previous poster referred to them as). The one in our room (7614) was clean, so it didn't bother me that it wasn't right out of the package.

Please....don't fret over her "condition". She looks beautiful. You'll have a wonderful time, for sure. There's so much about the Magic & Wonder that you can't find on the newer ships.
Such as peacefulness, relaxation, the ability to actually swim in the pool (instead of just bobbing in the water), dinners that aren't rushed, servers that actually have a chance to get to know you, and much more.
ENJOY!!!
The Magic is beautiful. Our room was not worn. Yes, we had the old bedspreads..but ours was in great condition and frankly the furniture looked new. Now we actually prefer the Magic to the Dream. I booked the Fantasy onboard..but if the Magic sails out of NYC again Iam switching my ressie in heartbeat. While the bedspreads aren't brand spanking new, I'd hardly consider them horrendous (as a previous poster referred to them as).
