For those with A/C, what temperature?

64 day and night during the summer. We like it COLD!! If it is too cold, we turn it off.

I can't believe so many turn it down at night. We pretty much keep ours at 77. Dh usually watches tv upstairs and I'm in the family room or office w/computer downstairs and I keep telling him we need to reverse as I'm always cold and he's always hot. We leave the temp at 77 til it is nice enough to just open windows at night. I can't imagine trying to sleep cold. I hate feeling cold.

This year I kept it at 72 all day and night. I'm still trying to figure out that darn digital thermostat! LOL! When we lived in Texas we kept it at 78-80. The AC bills could kill you there!

81 during the day if we are at home. Bump up to 82 when we go out. Stays the same at 81 most nights, may put it down a degree or two if it is very warm. That looks much warmer than everyone else, but we tend to be comfortable, we have all the fans in the house on as well and just like to sleep with a sheet, no blankets. One bedroom in the house however never has the fan on, and the airvents are not open all of the way because SO's cat likes it very very warm

I'm surprised to see people make it cooler at night during the summer! Wow! I know about doing that in winter, but not summer. :)

Mine is usually set on 74 or 75 during the day. At night between 75 and 76.

same here, anything lower is too cold. When I lived in Orlando, I never ran the air. I like it hot!

Ours is set for 79 during the day and 74 at night, but is set for down in the 60's when we use the heater.

Besides maybe Alaska, are there places in the US where people don't have A/C simply because it's not needed temperature-wise ? I'm not talking about people who can't afford it :(.

I normally keep it at 70 all the time. Didn't work out that way today. It seemed warm when I got up. The air conditioner wasn't working. I went to the kitchen and found the stove and refrigerator were out. I called an electrician and he told me that the 240 leg to my house was out. I called the electric company. I must say I was really impressed. I was worried with all that had happened in the Orlando area recently that it would take forever to get someone out. They were at my house within 30 minutes. They had to replace the line. It seems that the construction crew building the house next door put a post right through my line. It is now 76 and dropping. By bedtime, it should be about 70.

Ours is set around 72-74. Right now, I'm wearing my long lounge pants, t-shirt & lightweight pooh fleece. Oh, and socks, can't stand cold toes.

75 during the day, 74 at nite.

We used to keep it about 1 or 2 degrees lower until we got our new AC unit 2 years ago. The old one was 37 years old and had a tough time cooling the 2nd floor.

I have mine at 80 and find it chilly when watching TV.
Me too..........in fact I even wear flannels at night. But I do have tile floors and ceiling fans. But it would be unbearable in FL without AC............I really feel for those people that were hit with by Charley and were and some still are without ac and electricity.

I kepp mine on 72 during the day and 70 at night.

We have it set on 58 degrees right now. I like my flannel sheets and down comforter year round!;)

I have tile floors in my house also. Most of the people in the Orlando area now have their A/C back.

For those of you that keep it that cold what is your electric/gas bill a month? It must be expensive to keep it that cold. I am glad I can't take a real cold house.
