For those who've eaten at The Brown Derby...

YES! We have eaten there twice and had good service and the food was quite good.

We've generally had good food there, but the service has been spotty. We had truly terrible service once there years ago, great service once more recently, and then average to slightly bad service the last time we were there. I think it is definitely the best food in DHS, but I don't think it compares favorably in quality to Cali Grill or Jiko. We like it well enough to go most trips, but we don't consider it a "must do."

I gave DH the choice for our upcoming trip, and we're taking DS to Sci Fi instead. (No, the food isn't as good, but the decor will appeal more to the small person.)

We had a great (light) lunch there. I had the seared tuna. The Mrs. Dr. Noble had the Cobb. It would have been a poor value indeed on any of the dining plans, but as a cash meal it was excellent.

We usually end up there for lunch when we go to DHS. We really enjoy it. :)

We love it there and usually have one or two meals here each trip. We've had slightly *off* service but that seems to be when the server is dealing with us as well as bigger tables full of guests. Seems like they have a hard time giving good service to each and every table when it's busy like that.

Interestingly, the best service we recieve is when we sit outside on the patio!
Nothing beats lunch outside.......people watching, eating the cobb salad and drinking a bloody mary or two. YESsssssssss

Not only WOULD I go again, I DO, and will CONTINUE... dinner there is a must for every trip. I love the Salmon!!! We have always had fantastic service and wonderful meals and I hope that continues for us. We love this place.

We ate there and my husband really liked it and I did too. It is good.

It was good.
It is more of an adult place for dinner because it has a lot of steak ..

but that is coming from me, a teenager, who doesn't really like steak.

We are trying it for the first time next week. We did deluxe dining and leave early afternoon our last day. That left us with a 2TS to burn and it was the only fantasmic package I could find. We haven't enjoyed any CS at DHS so this is better than the CS for us :)

If I am on the DDP I would not. It is not worth the two ts credits imho. What I like there is the cobb salad and the grapefruit cake. I prefer lunch. Its a very nice atmosphere and I will be back again. Just not on the DDP.

We are eating there next month for the "Dine With an Imagineer" lunch. What might we be served? Do you all think the food is great, but just not worth 2 TS credits?

No way will I ever go back there again.

Food just ok, and not worth the money.

I have had far better 1TS meals than this at 2TS.

Nothing special at all.

Never! We've eaten pretty much everywhere, multiple times, and so this was one of the last few restaurants left for us to try (just ate there in May), and it was horrible!

The worst service ever, subpar food and dirty in restaurant. Our Cobb Salad was missing ingredients, food was late and cold, server forgot stuff, was rude, etc. We didn't speak to manager as the kids were very tired at the end of dinner at it was so late and disjointed - entrees at all different times, wrong food, etc. We tried to speak to server several times, but he was too busy flirting with customers and chatting with other staff - I kid you not! We were angry we wasted 2 credits here. I only had time to write a small note on the bill as hubby had to take babies outside, and on it I explained why we left no tip at all - it was that bad. We couldn't wait to exit this restaurant! Before anyone makes assumptions that we were at fault - our kids have been in restaurants since birth, so no issues there, we also were bussing our own tables, so we are excellent patrons - no problems on our end at all.

I come from a restaurant family, and so I totally understand how restaurants should function, and this was a horrible experience from start to finish.

We will never eat here again, and much of what I read on these boards echoes our sentiments.

Good luck to those eating there, Tiger

Don't be silly. We go for lunch when we are at the parks. If you are on the dining plan it might not be worth it, but at lunch the massive cobb salad, and their lobster bisque are amazing. We don't usually have entrees also, and maybe a dessert. I do agree the service can be hit or miss as with all Disney restaurants (except the Crystal Palace, always exceptional service). My boyfriend is so excited to take his parents there next week.

The best way to have lunch is to Dine with an Imagineer. It is a sit down private dining experience with no more than eight guests and a Disney Imagineer. The food is amazing and your server is always top notch since it is a special experience. I would absolutely reccomend this.

NEVER.................we will never eat there again..........ever.........it was that bad........and so not worth the price...........In fact, the best food of the entire meal was the brown sugar apples that were on the child's meal.........
