Looking to stay at deluxe/home away from home resort for two nights between Christmas and NYE. Very curious to learn rates of those who were able to get discounts during the holiday season and if you can recall when you were able to book discounted rates. I am trying to pull together last details of extended family trip.

Discounts between Christmas and NYE are not available, unless you are able to check in before Christmas and be lucky enough to get a discount then - the discounted rate will apply for the length of your stay.

Even AAA discounts are not available that week.

Sorry this won't help you with your dates between Xmas and NYE, but maybe will answer someone reading who wants to know about Xmas Eve of '05- on 11/4/05 I booked AKL Concierge for 12/24/05 (Xmas Eve) at $418 ($375 plus taxes). Hope this helps someone!

Thanks. I am sure that I am not the only one looking for historical discounts during the "holiday season" roughly 12/20 - 1/1, so any discounts reported for this period is helpful.

DH and I have gone 12/30 thru 1/8 for the past two years. Made reservation early but called throughout the year for discounts. No discount has been available for 12/30 and 12/31. However, did get AAA rate from 1/1 on.

I have gotten discounts in the past at deluxe resorts but had to check in before Christmas day. I think you will have a hard time finding a discount after Christmas. We ended up paying rack rate for 3 nights. With the discounts I got on the other 8 nights I really couldn't complain too much. Enjoy your trip!
