??? for those that have rented points......

I am in the process of renting out my DVC points for 2006.

I have been asked by the potential renter to have them put on the dining plan that will be available to DVC members beginning in January.

I am not familiar with this at all. Will renters be entitled to this plan? Also, do I put their name on the reservations??

I have not rented yet, only transferred points between DVC members............

I would expect that DVC renters would also be able to do the dining plan, but I believe that information has not yet been released.

Good luck with the rental! I have had good luck in the past with ours.

I have read that the Dining Plan can be reserved in advance but paid in full at check in. Keeping in mind that nothing has been etched in stone nor announced with full details, we also assume they will require the plan be purchased for all occupants in the room for the full length of stay.

There is another post that says you can book the dining plan in January and it is for use April and beyond.

On a positive note for those of you that do rent points (I don't), regarding the recent discussion here on the boards...your renters may now perceive DVC as even more of a value and you may be able to get a little more $ for your points.
