Do you ever pay OOP for meals? If so how many meals usually??

I want to do Tusker House and Ohana's BF but I'm thinking of paying OOP for these. Debating it. DH may not be too thrilled with this since how I sold him on the DDP was that we wouldn't have to pay for food.

But I really want to do these two!!! We did Tusker House last time and we LOVED it!!! I really want to try Ohana's!

We are paying OOP for WCC...we wanted to do CM's, but it was going to be more for the character dining than at WCC. I think a meal or two won't hurt. IF you don't want to pay OOP, then do a snack in between a counter service for dinner-then Dh can't complain

We figured it would be cheaper to pay for a breakfast out of pocket than a dinner...

That's my thing too. I would rather pay for BF than dinner.

We are paying for a few meals OOP. We wanted to do Cat 1 for the early seating at HDDR so that is OOP and we are also doing V&A.

We pay oop for 1 and use the dining plan for another several times each trip. There are a few places that the food just doesn't appeal to me so I pay oop for an app. and DH gets the full DP meal. Works great for us and we are able to visit a few more TS each visit.

We love the dining plan and, in order to make the most of it, we use our table service credits for dinner, counter service credits for lunch and snacks for a mid-day snack. We aren't breakfast eaters but, if we sleep in and decide we want a "brunch", we might pay out of pocket for a large breakfast platter and split it.

We also like to do a dinner show and we like a meal at Rainforest Cafe. So, on our Rainforest Cafe day, we pay out of pocket but save that table service credit to combine with the day we do our dinner show. (I hope that made sense. It did in my head. )

Other than that, we don't pay out of pocket.

We've only done the dining plan once, and occasionaly we would pay OOP when my ravenous DH wanted more to eat at lunch than a counter service meal provided! He's one hungry man! We also paid OOP for the Poly's luau. Wished we hadn't done that... but that's another story!
