So for all of you DL veterans, what do you mean by fastpass collecting? I thought you could only have one at a time, and it gave you a time to return. Forgive me if this is a silly question, but we haven't learned the commando way

Here's a great thread about utilizing FP to it's maximum potential:

Getting the Most Out of FastPass During High Season


As a basic summary:

1. The return window on the ticket is open ended. Even though there is a window listed, it is common practice by Disney CM's to only enforce the beginning of the window. This means that if the window is from 9:30-10:30 in the morning, you can use the FP anytime AFTER that window without any problems.

2. Once that window has been reached, or 2 hours after you collect a FP (whichever one comes first), you are able to grab another FP for another ride. You don't have to use your current FP to get another one. The only exception is that to grab a FP for a ride you've already collected a FP for, you have to wait for the window to arrive, even if it is more that 2 hours away

e.g. You grab a FP for SM at 11:00 and the return time is 2:30. 2 hours later at 1:00 you can grab a FP for any other ride except for SM. You have to wait until the FP window arrives at 2:30 to grab another FP for SM.
