For those of you wanting to know about my Long Island Ice Tea incident

I have gotten a few inquiries about my Long Island Ice Tea Incident.(See the post about Myrtle Beach) Ok here goes.

Last summer we were staying at the Caravelle Resort. Each Monday evening they have a guest reception with free food and drinks. Well Monday morning and afternoon I was sitting by the pool reading a book and soaking up some sun and basically just doing the veg thing. The employees at the resort kept handing me cupons for drinks for that evening. Everyone was supposed to have one free drink. I had a total of 8 cupons. Well, that evening the line for the drinks was very long so I decided to get all 8 drinks and just give them to some of my family members. I got back to our group and nobody wanted them, So I drank about 4-5 I can't remember. Now I am not much of a drinker, really I'm not.

I was on my scooter, my brand new scooter. We were going back to the room and I thought the elevator was not quite where it should be and I missed the door to the elevator and hit the wall! Good thing the cops werent there I could have gotten pulled over for drunk driving. Anyway after a little nap and a good old lecture from my DW I felt better

LOL!!! That is hilarious!! Long Islands are SOOOOOOOO good but soooooo dangerous! That is all DH drank at our wedding, and from 10pm on he is a little hazy. I cannot complain, though, because the beer erased about the same time frame for me!!! I do remember walking across the street once we shut down the bar at our reception to the night club across the street and drinking MORE for free. There were like 500 people at this club, and you walk in wearing a wedding dress and they all want to buy you whatever you want. Same went for the ones in tuxes

Whoa, those things are powerful! When I was a bartender, I had to really watch people who ordered them to pay attention to how drunk they were getting. Very often I had to refuse a second request - most people only need one! I can't imagine drinking 4 or 5!

Snoopy- I think that is why I hit the wall I did learn my lesson though. I will never drink those again. I will stick with just plain Ice Tea. Maybe one of those little drinks with the umbrellas.
