I think we are going to be driving most of the time on our next trip (4 kids and strollers, its just easier)..what do you do about MK? We were thinking we were going to have totake the bus there to avoid T&T....:)

We have done both - we are love having a rental car but the change over at T&T is a pain. So we did take the bus but I think it is a wash time wise and we really like having the ability to leave when we want - and NOT fold and unfold that stroller!!!

One other thought - we are an early rising family and usually to the parks early the chaos at T&T is maddening and makes me very nervous with the girls!!!

We drive to all parks except MK. We take the bus there. It is not fun with strollers but we prefer it to the T & T hassle.

Where are you staying. If it's WLV's there are no worries. Boat.
BLT also is no worries because you've got the Monorail.
Beach club, boardwalk, Ak, OKW & SS means busing it. Generally we stay at BC or WL. my kids are teens so some times we will walk through Epcot and catch the monorail to MK. That may not be the easiest plan with 4 kids in strollers, we just do it because we like the monorail.

Thanks! Thats exactly what we were thinking..i really don't want to deal with T&T, we get up and go very early!
We are going to be at SSR...

ok one more question....
if we were having breakfast one day at the Poly(which we are), can we eat and leave our car there for a few hours???
LOL i sound like a total WDW newbie....we have been so many times, but normally use the transportation...

Our touring plans changed a bit when we had to add a scooter for me to our rental car. (We prefer to avoid Disney busses at all costs - much faster and less stress with a rented car).

As far as the MK is concerned...we discovered we actually prefer to arrive at the MK by ferry. Now I admit we are not commandos, but it's a beautiful way to aproach the park and to say good bye at the end of the night.

I prefer to drive everywhere, including MK. A big reason we have a car is so we can go where we want to go, so having a car at MK (and having to go through the TTC) allows us to leave the park and go to another resort or park or off property without having to take a bus back to our hotel first.

Go On Ebay and buy a AAA Diamond pass the parking is by the Handicap parking and is a short walk to the ticket area I think we payed 5.00 for it and free shipping .:cool1:

Do these have expiration dates on them or anything? I've never thought of doing that. We have a trip coming up 12/13-12/19 and would love one of these. We don't buy packages with AAA since we're DVCers, so can never get that coveted Diamond pass.

We walk when we stay at BLT. Use water transportation from VWL. Drive to T&T and most often use the boat from there for the other DVC resorts.

We are going to be at SSR...
From there, I might be inclined to drive even to MK. Driving will probably be a little slower *on average*, but it will be very predictable. Rope drop and park close are probably okay, but mid-day the buses can come less often than you'd hope. I've had two OKW->MK afternoon trips that took more than one hour on the bus, and SSR reportedly can have similar issues.

Drive and park at Board Walk or Swan and Dolphin. You can then walk or take boats to Epcot or Disney Studios. Then return for dinner on the Boardwalk.

Great reasonably priced restaurants at Dolphin and Swan. No waits and easy in and out. Food is better too!

We're not in DVC (yet), but when we stay at a Disney Hotel, we get a free parking pass that can be used for the length of our stay at any Disney park, and also any Disney Hotel. So we stayed at the Polynesian, but drove to Beach Club for breakfast at Cape May (and access to the International Gateway) and parked there all day without an issue.

Does the same apply to DVC members while staying in a DVC property?

On our last trip we had early reservations for breakfast at Chef Mickey's and O'hana on different days. We woke up, drove to MK and then took the monorail to our breakfast destinations. Both times we were one of the first five cars there. After breakfast we got back on the monorail and headed to MK. When we were ready to leave we had a five minute walk to the car. We're planning on doing this every trip.

No, the same does not apply to DVC members because it doesn't even apply to Disney hotel guests.

Those passes aren't intended as a permit to park at resorts all day - you can visit a resort or dine there, but non-guests of the resort are not supposed to use the self-parking lots as park parking.
