For those going the week of thanksgiving...???

For all of you going the week of thanksgiving.....if you dont mind me asking, What day are you going home?

I have heard the sunday after thanksgiving , the crowds pretty much clear out, but I am now getting nervous that it is still going to be crowded the week AFTER thanksgiving.

We actually went the Wednesday of the week before Thanksgiving and returned the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. We did all our park visits Wednesday - Saturday with very low crowds. Our friends that came the week of Thanksgiving had much heavier crowds. Good luck!

We arrive on Thanksgiving Day and are leaving on Wed 12/1. Here's hoping the crowds thin out on Sunday.

We'll be there Wednesday, November 24, to Tuesday, November 30.

Arriving the Saturday the 20th, leaving Friday the 26th.

Based on past experience, I expect light to reasonable crowds Saturday thru Tuesday. Crowds picking up Wednesday, very busy Thursday, near impossible on Friday...

Last year we arrived the day before Thanksgiving and stayed the following week, until Dec. 6th I think. In comparison to the beginning of the trip, from Sunday on it almost seemed like we had the park to ourselves! Definately thins out on Sunday.

I have a feeling its going to be way more crowded than when we went over Thanksgiving 2 years ago, as the hours are longer and Im thinking they base that on the ressies they have?? AK open until 8??? WHAT?? lol Im planning once again on heavy crowds, esp over the weekend, but Im so excited to get back down there that I dont even care!!!! If crowds are unbareable, we will just spend most of our time at Epcot! We love it there anyway!!

AimeeM....We were booked at VWL but wanted a one bedroom after our stay in a studio in BWV. But the only one open was at BWV so we took it. That really works out better for us in the long run because like you, we love Epcot. We did WS and all the storytellers last Dec and it was so incredible. So, we'll be spending the majority of of time before Sunday 11/28, at Epcot and some at MGM and AK. AK is just to brutally hot during the summer so we don't get to do as much as we would like to. When we were there 3 weeks ago, we just said..."We'll do AK in late Nov. It's much cooler then!!!" I don't think we'll hit MK until Sunday morning and then leave at lunchtime. We are doing MVMCP on 11/30 and the CP on 11/29. See ya there!!!

We will be arriving on November 20 and leaving on November 26. We are staying for the first time as a family using our DVC membership we purchased in 2003. We will be at BCV in a 2 bdrm-dedicated.

Hope the parks are managable! We plan on showing off WDW and DVC to my parents who will be joining us. They have NEVER been to Disney. Want to really WOW them!

We are arriving on Nov. 25 and leaving Dec. 4, so I am really hoping the crowds thin out on Sunday (we aren't going to any Disney parks until Sunday).

We arrive Saturday 11/20 and leave Friday 11/26. We have nev er been at Thanksgiving before. I am expecting big crowds until Wednesday and a monstrous crowd on Thursday. Actually at this point in time I am thinking we may not do parks on Thursday -maybe just tour some resorts or something.

we're going early on 11/24 and leaving 11/28 evening... we were there two years ago (same days=Wednesday through Sunday)... On Sunday, you could actually walk down the sidewalk in MK and this was right before the parade started... You could definitely tell the Thanksgiving crowd was thinning out.

Thanksgiving Day, we did Epcot and the Boardwalk.... got to watch the Patriots kick off at the ESPN club!! and the crowds really weren't that bad. We went to MK at night... for some reason, I think they were open untill 11pm... I'd have to pull out my book from that trip... I think this year they're only open until 10??

We take a late afternoon, early evening flight so we can enjoy most of the day at the parks (we went on the ToT and RnRC twice Sunday morning, no lines at either!!!) That way too, most of the crowds have already cleared out of the airport also!!

Wow, we'll be there the same time some of you are. We're checking into Pop Centur on the 18th and are staying until the 25th. Maybe we'll bump into each other!!

We'll be a the Polynesian from 11/21 - 11/27 ... would like to stay another week, but we have four children in school and with the oldest in 10th grade, we can't miss that much time.
