All this shooting that's going on, is any of it near Cincinnati? DH is still there at school and I'm starting to wonder.

And for those of you that are near the shootings, stay safe. We don't want any DISers (or anyone) getting hurt.

GG, I think I heard that the shootings were off I-270, which is a bypass interstate around Columbus --> a good 2 1/2 hours northeast of Cinci.

Tuesday's shooting was in Milan, Ohio (not supposed to be linked to the other shootings though). I hope everyone in Ohio stays safe.

No, not here. Cincinnati is in the Southwest corner of Ohio, right across the river from Kentucky. The shootings are in central Ohio near Columbus.

Well that's a little comforting to know that they haven't been in the Cincinnati area, but it's still horrible that they're happening anywhere at all. I hope they catch this sicko soon.

My sis and her family, including two small children (4 and 1) live in Columbus, although on the North side (in Worthington).

Wasn't it enough that the DC area was put into a state of fear a while back? Sad we have to go through this again somewhere else.

One of the shootings was just minutes from my home.

I understand their fear! Be assured that fellow dissers & other folks in the Wash DC & burbs are praying this criminal will be caught soon!!!

Yes, the shootings are happening in Columbus.
They say the one in Milan isn't related. Milan is only about 40 minutes from me, though.
