Before our Alaskan cruise, we'll be staying at the Pan Pacific and our friends will be at the Hampton Inn on Robson. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant located between us that won't break the bank?

We stayed at fairmont waterfront and enjoyed bellaggios but it will be close to you. Everything within walking distance will be about $20ish CAD a person with a soda/pop. This was our cheapest meal though. We liked it.

That's not bad, thanks! I'll look it up. I mainly didn't want to have to bust out the dressy clothes till we got on the ship! :-)

There is an Original Joes at Robson and Hamilton 2 blocks away from the Hampton Inn which is a fast casual local chain. There is also a Boston Pizza a block away right next to the main gate to BC Place Stadium. If you are looking close to the Pan Pacific there are a few good restaurants in Jack Poole Plaza (where the Olympic Cauldron is) a block away from the hotel. It has a great view of the whole waterfront and there are some good patios if the weather is good. There is a Tap & Barrel which has a wide ranging menu and despite the name is very kid friendly. There is also a Cactus Club (another fast casual chain which is now all over but started in Vancouver)

We are sailing in August and I made a map on Google maps with restaurants in that general area (we are staying at Blue Horizon on Robson) that were either recommended here or are listed on yelp as "kid friendly" and have generally good reviews (think 3.5-5 stars): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1rmTDmJHX7NjoZscFVJsADK7xXdE&usp=sharing

So while I can't personally, from experience, recommend any of these places, they look like good bets based on feedback here or Yelp. I hope it helps! :)

Oh! I should add, purple dots are more dessert/coffee/snack places and red dots are regular restaurants. Some attractions and also a couple of wine bars (my DH is into wine) are also listed there. :)

We ate breakfast at Cafe Bellagio this morning. It was really good!! About $20 CAD pp. For dinner last night we ate at Zeferelli's. Really good Italian restaurant, probably about $40 CAD pp all in. Huge portions, great food. Jeans and a polo shirt type place. Would definitely recommend both.

Another vote for Bellagios and we had lunch there one day and had pizza's and all very yummy. They definitely get crowded for the brunch/breakfast timeframe and it's right across from the Pan Pacific so very close. We also ate at the Cactus Club and it was also very good and for breakfast another morning we went underneath the Pan Pacific to the mini shopping center there and grabbed breakfast at Tim Horton's before going out to explore the city.
