... I'm thinking I'd like to move out of the state of Maine. I am so tired of the weather it's not even funny. If we could take my Mother with us and my dh said, "Let's move south." I really think I'd go. I have never felt like this before- always looooooved it here but I can't imagine what it must be like to live somewhere that has nice weather year round...... sigh.....

My dh is an electrician.... he builds electrical substations.... do you think he could get a job in your area? I'm going to a medical coder by this summer.... think I could get a job where you live?

I know how you feel. I HATE living in Michigan in the winter and I'm sure yours is worse. I would think that your husband could get a job anywhere in the country. My DH on the other hand owns a business that is totally wrapped up in the auto industry, we'll never be able to leave.

I feel the same way about Minnesota weather...It was 57 degrees 3 days ago and today it might be 10 degrees..It get pretty tiresome if you ask me....I say go with your heart and I'm sure someone will need an electrician somewhere it seems to be the hot job here in MN, I'm not sure about the south....:D

yuck and we have alot of it.......hubby is on roof still trying to get rid of that.......and we have enough now to snow blow again.......where would we put this stuff.......and we are due for another storm.....YUCK........we are in the single digits........

I don't know what the job market for electricians is like in Florida.

I hate winter in Michigan but my husband's profession deals with education law and this is where he makes the best living, so we'll never leave.

If I could move, though, I'd head west to Arizona. Florida is fun to visit but I can't tolerate the humidity.

Add me to the list of snowy winter haters. DH and I already have promised each other we will get out the northeast as soon as DD graduates college. That's a long way off, but it's better than never.

I am married to a die-hard New Englander who will never agree to moving. :( I may have to get a little place in the Caribbean for myself once the kids leave home........

The weather here in Northern California is wonderful year-round. But the cost of living and the traffic congestion is the pits! (Average home price in the Bay Area is probably around $400,000!)

Well, I don't know if moving to Mn is an improvement, but I know you could get a medical job in SE MN at Mayo Clinic and the electricians union here is a strong one. We average about 40" of snow yearly. But this year, we'hve had only 2.

Herc.

thats because all your snow has come to Maine.......alot of it too....

I also hate the winters up here...we get way too much snow!! I definitely want to move somewhere warm, like Florida! :p Hopefully we can sell our house and be out of here soon!!

We have friends who picked up and moved to Florida with their 2 kids just over a year ago- they love it there. My dh would never go either.... I'm just dreaming.

I've lived in Georgia all my life. Perhaps in 20 years or so I won't be able to claim that any longer.;)
