I came across this bit of info that I thought some people might be interested in.

The producers have decided to make Eliza Dushku's character Faith the main star of the show, according to the Daily Express.

They have reportedly decided Gellar is irreplaceable as Buffy and rejected another proposal to make Buffy's sister Dawn the star.

Dushku, 22, will appear alongside Gellar in the final three episodes of the current series.

Faith has so far been a bad girl in the show but producers have decided the character has the potential to hold on to fans.

Gellar is leaving to concentrate on films but is expected to return for cameo appearances as Buffy

Well, if SMG will still be making appearences at least that means they aren't going to kill her off (AGAIN!) like I've been hearing.

Also for the Bufy fans in case you haven't heard yet, Faith will be making an appearance on at least three episodes of Angel starting in three weeks...That's March 5th.

A couple of seasons ago, Faith was rehabbing herself in prison accepting responsibility for her crimes. She could be a good character. Will Buffy be back next year. I have hear that this is the last year. I hope that this is not the case.

This is definitley that last season for Gellar, Buffy will not be back in anything more than the occasional cameo.

The Faith rumors have been out there for a while now, but this is the first hint of anything official I have seen (though its still just a rumor till Joss announces it). Personally, as much I like the show, I wish they would let it end. Its been a good run (with the exceptions of seasons 4 and 6, blech!), but it has run its course. I'd prefer to see it end before its gets tired and worn.

Speaking of Buffy, Wednesdays episode was the best I have seen in a long time. Lots of humor and great plot twists. The principal in really shaping up into an interesting character.
