For the AP tickets, when does your year start?

Does it start when they are purchased or when they are activated? If I order the tickets from Disney, do I get an actual ticket or a voucher?

They are good from the day you activate them at the parks. You will receive a voucher to be exchanged at WDW for an actual AP. Unless it's a renewal, then it starts the day after the old one exprires.

My AP's expired June 29,2003. I ordered the tickets through Disney. I received bright green vouchers to be turned when we arrived. When we did and the expiration date on our new Ap"S was the day we activated them or July 27,2004.

One thing: make sure you take your old AP's with you. We did not and it took us longer to get them since we did not have the old ones with us. The CM explained, they can scan the old AP's and get all the info from that, but since we did not have them with us she had to take all of the info at that time. Which of course took some time. Also, make sure you that photo ID with you. We saw a couple that had the vouchers, no old ones and no photo ID with them and they could issue the AP's to them and they had to go back to their hotel and get the photo ID.

This will be a first time AP purchase. I wanted to buy them now so I get the $20.00 off from the disney club, and still be able to use them next year.
