For Platinum cruisers: how many times have you failed to dock at Castaway Cay?

In my own 3 cruises, we came very close to missing it once. I'd be very interested in hearing from people with experience from 10 or more cruises how many times they've succeeded/failed to dock due to the weather.

My apologies if this has been asked before; I have not been able to find the information.

Well in 11 cruises only 5 had Castaway Cay on their itineraries and we made all of them (May, Oct, Sep, Sep, Sep)

In our 34 cruises we only missed CC 3 times....2 times we couldn't dock due to weather that day and once the itinerary was changed before we sailed due to a hurricane causing much damage to the island. Not all our itineraries had CC on it.

In over a dozen trips only failed once due to wind. Fortunately it was a back to back for us so we had already visited. This was in December.

Felt bad for first timers and the drink specials were plenty. Personally it is my favorite destination.

After 10 cruises, we have missed it once because of wind.
Another time we docked but it was raining buckets....I mean complete wash out the whole day and I don't think anyone got off the ship anyway.

Thanks a lot, everyone. This sounds very reassuring so far. I had been thinking that the odds were 1 in 4 or so, but that now seems way too pessimistic.

Only close to it once but they attempted the following day and we got in. I forgot what cruise that was when it wasn't the final day. Gosh, that had to have been like 2002 or 2003 probably. So the answer is we always got a CC day.

Just went back to count our Castaway Cay days. We had 33 stops scheduled in our 40 cruises (some double dips, some on the wrong coast) and I'm probably jinxing myself now but we've never missed Castaway Cay. (We did have to leave early once because Hurricane Floyd was coming in quick and we did have some cold days there in December but we've always made it in.)

In 13 DCL cruises, 7 with calls at CC:-

Missed once.
And
Due to a hurricane, had one cruise with an extra stop.

Balances it out.

12 cruises, and of the 11 that went to CC we have never missed. I guess we have just been lucky. It has been pretty windy a couple of times, but we never had any issues with docking.

Only once out of 33 cruises but 10 of these were double dips and 3 were cruises that did not include a CC stop. Surprising odds since a good number of those cruises were during hurricane season. We even sailed during Sandy.
