What is the closest you've ever done two trips? I took my elder son and GD to WDW this past January. I went back solo in May, took my younger son and D-I-L in Sept, and am taking my 73 y/o mom for her first trip in Dec. My 9 y/o GD really wants to go back, so I was thinking about taking her back for a GM-GD trip next spring. However my AP expires Jan 9th, so if I took her sooner I would have my park ticket, plus I could get the BRP room discount as well as use my DDE card for dining discounts. Also I was thinking about giving her the trip to WDW as a Christmas present,so don't think making her wait until the spring would be kosher. Due to buying a 7 day MYW with pluses during the free dining promotion in Sept (then using my AP down there), I do have a ticket left over to use next spring though. However I was thinking about a solo trip then, in order to do some tours. I can't take her on the Dec trip with my mom as that trip will be very slow paced with very little ride time and she loves thrill rides. She and my mom can't do the same things and the Dec trip is about my mom.

I was thinking about squeezing in another trip Jan 2th-8th for just my GD. That would mean I would be back only two weeks from my Dec trip though. I would be going to WDW for ten days, come back to celebrate Christmas, then be going right back. I have the time with my job and think I might be able to get off. My son has already said I can take her out of school for the spring trip, so getting her for the first week of January probably wouldn't be a problem. Sorry for rambling, but I'm just thinking out loud. What do you think? Make her wait for the spring or squeeze another trip out of my AP and do two trips, only two weeks apart in Dec-Jan?

I wish I could follow that schedule. Well why not do January and the spring? Are you going to rewew your AP ? Either way it would be great. We have AP's also ( NJ) and are closest trips were last June (last week, we left July 4th) and than back in August between hurricanes. So if I helped , go both times!!!!!! :cheer2:

I recommend going as often as you can :flower: I'd go in January when there are less crowds. If you wait for spring break you will be joining many, many more people. The time spent with your GD would be relaxed (especially after the holidays) and memorable for sure! :wizard: Enjoy the trip!

We visited WDW in March this year then decided to purchase into DVC. We just had to try it out :rolleyes1 so we went back in September. We'd go more often but for us it's the expense of the flights out of VT. (Not a major airline hub unless you can hop a ride with the geese as they fly south for the winter :teeth: )

I've never gone that close together - but I would if I could afford to.
This past year & a half, I have averaged every 3-4 monthes tho.

If you can swing it, I would take your GD in Jan. You have your AP, the AP rate and less crowds. To top it off, your airfare would probably be cheaper. Our airfare last spring was higher than we've ever paid. It spiked up for Spring Breaks. In Jan, they are desperate to fill those planes.

Wow, can I be related to you? :)

If you can swing it, go as much and as often as you can. I believe Disney World is soul medicine and if it makes you feel good, then DO IT! :cheer2:

Back in Feb. of 2002 I took my DD to visit the Univ. of Central Fla. in Orlando. So we stayed at the AKL for 3 nights and enjoyed the parks. In March of that same year we were back again for an all-star cheerleading competition. :cheer2:

First week of August 2004 for a transportation engineers' conference (held at Coronado Springs). Used an annual pass for a much better room rate than the conference offered.

Last week of August 2004 for a convention in Orlando (to see and hear antique music boxes). Some additional days spent at Disney also.

Same AP used for New Years 2005 and mid May 2005.

We live in north Georgia so it's a bit easier. The closest trips I ever did was two back to back weekends. The husband was out of town with his parents and our son so I went down for just the weekend. Had a blast by myself. Then he came back and clearly needed a break. By Tuesday, I had the offsite reservation and we went yet again. I think that was the trip that made him realize that everything just disappears when you are at Disney World.

Go whenever you can and when someone asks you why you are going again, just say "because I can".

Another Texan, and I'm probably further away in Texas, but like you I've been 4 times this year-January with DS, May with DM, August solo, then November with DH and DMIL (then a few days solo). In addition, I went to DL in July. I don't expect to go to WDW again until late spring, but that's partly because DS is getting married in March, so we'll take a break from trips to focus on that. After March, my crystal ball sees the possibility of 2 or 3 trips next year.

We went June 6-11 and Oct. 7-10. We are going Nov. 27-Dec. 4, and then I am going with my friend Jan. 7-10 for my birthday.

I agree with the others who said GO AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN! :)

I love that, and I'm going to use it!!!

i was there for 2 weeks in July with my husband, 18 year old son and 21 year old daugher..
then my daugther and I were back again for 10 days in mid-august...
and then she and I went back for a third time for 10 days in mid September...

we finally got some good mileage out of our APs....we usually only manage to come once on our APs, but since we usually stay for so long on that one trip, the APs are the most economical.....but this year, we've already been 3 times.....and i'm sure we'll get there again before the year is up..

and by the way, we're from very very very far away from florida (and the US....we have to fly for 12 hours non-stop just to get to New York for the connecting flight to florida....that's a long way to fly to get to Mickey!!)...

Can I come live with you????!!!! :rotfl:

We live in Louisiana. We went in early June. Then got a bug and went again the end of July/beginning of August.

8 weeks. We went down the beginning of this month 10/1 - 10/8 and will be heading back down to check in the Sunday after Thanksgiving for another week :)

We've only ever gone to WDW every two years, this year I decided to treat myself, we went Sept23-Oct2, and I bought an AP pass and am going again Dec.17-23, and since I bought the AP pass, I hope to get one more trip out of it!

I would go especially if you are not going to renew your AP. If you can, why not go in Jan and again in the spring!

In 99-2000 school year, I still lived in Ohio and had decided on the University of Central Florida for college, well it turned out to be a great excuse for Disney trips. First visit of the school year in October 99, back in January 2000, with a friend in April 00, back for Orientation in June and then moved to Orlando August 12, 2000! Now that was a Disney year!!!
