so I wanted to tell y'all about this awesome purchase we made last Friday.

We went to Bed, Bath, & Beyond to find a wedding gift for some friends. While I was picking out the wedding gift, DH was scouring the clearance shelves.

He picked up an 8" touchscreen digital photo frame missing its remote. Internal memory is 1 gb. Pandigital brand.
Regular price: $137.00.
Clearance price: $32.99

Well, if you use logic, a touchscreen photo frame can be operated using....*drumroll please*.....THE TOUCH SCREEN! So saving over $100 for a missing remote was worth it to us.

But....when we took it home, the remote was in the box!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Mike said the remote wasn't working, but it was there nonetheless. There's a watch-type battery in the frame which he said is there to operate the remote, but it seems the battery died so we need to get a new one. There you have it...a $137 digital frame for under 35 bucks! :cool1:

WOW...sweet deal :thumbsup2

That is really funny! The leotard is well... kind of disturbing though. Can't wait to show Abby that... she will love it!

HEY! Where you beeeeeeeeeeeeeen? Missed you!

You mean you just weren't that into it?

Ba, dum, bum, bump. I'm here all week. :rotfl2:

You kill me :lmao:

Yes, I have heard tales of your busy-ness. ::yes:: I'm doing alright. Tomato started his new job in FL last week so I am "single-parenting" for now until our house sells and we can all make the big move. :sad1: It's rough. We'll see how many of these kids survive it.

He is coming home this weekend though! :lovestruc

aww...that is so awesome he is coming him this weekend.

Hello friends!

I kind of guilted Tomato into coming home this weekend instead of Father's day weekend... it that really bad? :guilty:

No, I understand it completely.

nahhhh...how'd you do it though?

Well, it just made more sense. By coming home this weekend he gets to see the boys soccer tournament and their season come to an end and he gets to see his aunt and uncle that he never gets to see because they are coming here for his cousin's graduation. Plus we've been apart 2 weeks and then he'll go back and we'll see him in 2 and half weeks when we go down there. Even steven. :thumbsup2

If he waited until next weekend he would miss everything above and also be gone for 3 weeks and then 1 and half weeks. Not so even steven.

I just explained all this and he dug his heels in and said "I thought we already decided"... which totally irks me because why is it so hard to change your mind?!?! So I got QUIET on the phone and then let him go so I could put the boys to bed. :guilty:

THEN the next day he sent me an e-mail saying that the flight home for this weekend was twice as much as for the following weekend. He proceeded to say "I know how difficult this is.... " blah, blah, blah. And that made me really really mad. I wanted to send an e-mail back and totally rip him a new one. But I decided I shouldn't send him anything back while I was so upset. So I didn't respond.

I went out to lunch with my friend and complained about it instead!

When I got home there was another e-mail from him that he had the company TA find him a cheaper flight out of Pensacola so he was going to go ahead and come home this weekend.

So what did I do? I guess I stated my position and then sat back and shut my mouth until he realized he agreed with me. :rotfl2:

Alrighty... going to watch Wipeout with the kids... they are yelling at me that I am missing it!!! I might come back later though! ttyl

That was a great tactical move actually. He probably thought you were mad because you didn't immedistely agree. Good boy.:goodvibes

I think you played your hand perfectly Love! You got what you wanted and he saw you were right! I think it makes much more sense to come this weekend than next weekend, why can't men see that we know best?

I agree

what is Wipeout?

:confused3

I hate going to Walmart too. I always spend way more than I should. Target is the same way. I always see these great buys and things I just have to have.

That sounds like fun, I don't know when I've bought anything that wasn't an absolute necessity? It's been a long time. :headache:

That is awesome Cheri. I've been wanting one of those and we are trying to find a bigger one but for that price I would have gone for the 8". Good find Mike! And, for the remote to go ahead and be in the box and only in need of a small battery, you two did grrrrrreat! :thumbsup2

That sounds like fun, I don't know when I've bought anything that wasn't an absolute necessity? It's been a long time. :headache:

I ended up going to Micheal's to buy stuff to make Scotty's fathers day present that way I only bought what I needed.

And then I went to the grocery store and played being LeeLee and used coupons and saved tons of money.

Well...it was labeled that the remote was missing, so what I think happened is that someone brought it back and said the remote wasn't working and the store person misinterpreted what they said and put it on clearance siting that the remote was alltogether missing.

That's my theory. Either way we got a good deal! :goodvibes

In case I ever get one of those, do you stick a memory card in there or do you download pictures to it? I am curious how it works.

Hey Love

You are not bad at all :goodvibes

It did make a ton more sense for him to come home this weekend.

Way to play it

good job :wizard:

I learned something new about my DH today (also explains his Mom's day fiasco). My friend who is stationed in Japan is visiting for 2 weeks and we are giving him a party. We looked at the calendar and saw we only have Jun 21 or 28 available.

I said, well, the 21st is Father's Day so we'll have to do it Jun 28th.

And DH says (and I quote), "Father's Day doesn't mean anything to me so we can do 21st"

Now I know it's an 'I'm not buying into the Hallmark hype thing' but still...

And now I'm wondering if I should even give him the Father's Day gift DD3 and I worked on over the last week (as seen in my TR)...definitely makes me glad I decided not to get him money for his camera lens...
