I don't wear undies in theme parks at all. I got tired of getting wet on rides like Splash, Kali, etc., and ending up chafed from walking in wet clothes.

A couple of years ago I took the plunge and bought a few plain pairs of men's swim trunks from REI, the sort with the full mesh lining. These are now officially my theme park uniform. On top, I wear a short-sleeve quick-dry cycling jersey over a quick-dry sports bra. It's great not to worry about having to carry a spare set of clothing into the park in case I get splashed.

Men's trunks come in every possible size; they don't pigeonhole men the way they do women. You usually will want to buy the sort with a somewhat shorter leg; the "surfer jam" styles tend to hang all wrong on women; more like very baggy capris than long shorts. A drawstring is a must; you buy by the waist size, which is also the hip size, so you need a way to cinch the waist in.

The most astonishing thing is, this isn't the first time the question has been asked. Every time the 'unmentionables' topic comes up (for comfort while touring) it gets more replies than things like, "Where is the best viewing location for Spectromagic" or "Can someone tell me about the new attraction, (fill in name here)?"

It's clothing. Every woman has an answer to questions regarding clothing.

My DH came home yesterday from work and I was watching the Full House on their Disney trip ....tipped from the DIS board. He found that amusing and then I proceded to tell him I'll probably need to get new underware from another DIS board tip.

I had him get the paint chips(alien green) a couple of weeks ago when he went to Home Depot. I also told him I needed a chamois...another DIS board tip for wiping off wet seats. He rolls his eyes but it is always followed by a grin.

I'm really enjoying this thread...I'm overdue for an undergarment overhaul. What's up with the sizing...it's confusing to me.

I also love the Body By Victoria line at VS! Anyone else notice that they recently re-invented (for lack of better term) the BBV undies? I usually buy the highcut ones (3 for $30) and I recently had a coupon in the mail went in and got some and noticed the material seems a little different and also the stictching on the leg openings is a little different....luckily they had some of the older styles left in that I picked up.

I buy Breezies from QVC. They are fantastic. All cotton but made of some fabric that doesn't hold the perspiration in. They come in great colors, briefs or high cut and wear really well. I live in NYC where summers are quite gross and never feel uncomfortable in them. They also never ride up. Check them out on the QVC website.

You Might want to take a look at the GAP store. The have a no lines type of undies... I like the thong personally but have a couple of pairs of the no lines one!!! They are very comfortable!! Good Luck Looking!!!

Hanky Panky's. One size fits all. Beautiful, stretchy lace thongs. So comfortable, you will not know you have it on. Theme park tested, expensive but worth every penny. Easy to pack, easy to hand launder.

Gilligan and O'Malley at Target, cotton "modern brief." So comfy! Soft, lightweight, and the elastic absolutely does not cut in anywhere. They're full coverage without being the stereotypical "granny panties." No thongs for me! Ouchie! (And I really hope none of my group visits this thread.)

I haven't read all the responses, but had to chime in. I shop Kohl's cause they have great sales. For underwear I only wear microfiber, barely there are the best, they don't ride up at all and leave no panty line. Other brands are comfortable but tend to leave panty lines. I used to swear by 100% cotton, but microfiber breaths, no sweating, no itching. I also used to swear by underwire bras until I bought a maidenform microfiber bra. It is not an underwire, and comes in SM, MED, Lrg instead of by size/cup. It is the most comfortable bra I have ever owned, and I have tried everything out there. If you want lift go for underwire if you want comfort go with the maidenform microfiber.

Thanks, Deb, for the tip on Kohl's. I have two right near my home and yes, they do have great sales. And thanks for the bra tip. If there is one thing I detest more than shopping for a bathing suit (which I don't), is shopping for a bra. I will definitley give them a try because I will not wear one with an underwire. Thanks for the info!

LOL honey if I looked like you that's ALL I'd wear.. cute little thongs with lace and ribbon in a small...

However being pooh sized... and not wanting to give a poo (teehee) about my undies if I decide to toss em instead of bringing them home or whatever... go to wal mart. I can't remember the brand but they're CHEAP (in the bag.. like 3 in a bag) and mesh.. they're see through but very supportive, very "breathy"... actually really cute.. and they come in all sizes

I just discovered Barely There this past week. Have a pair on right now!! I *love love love* them!! The ones I bought were the tagless, seamless, no panty lines, boycut shorts. They are SO comfortable and don't ride up at all. They are a blend of cotton, spandex, and ?? - can't remember now... But it's in an earlier post on this thread. This is coming from a Victoria's Secret only girl!! I still wear my VS undies, but these new ones are even superior to those. I don't know yet how they will hold up since they are only a week old, and my VS have held up for years....

I used to LOVE these! I will vouch they are very comfy and you forget you are wearing them.

But then I had my DD and it is no longer possible to fit in any of these kinds of bras anymore. (it is so hard trying to find a 36 D/DD that looks cute and not matronly)

Well ladies thank you all for the great advice. I went out last night and bought underwear from VC, then went to Pennys and bought the Barely There brand and also Jockey! I can not beleive I spent almost 100.00 on just underwear! But I decided it was a birthday present to myself and I will be testing out the comfort of them when we go to Vegas next week..not looking forward to the 100 degree temps! Also whoever suggested the bra from Barely There, thank you! I bought one last night and not only was the fit great but I can tell it will be very comfy to wear. So ladies thanks again for all the expert advice.
