For ladies only

Once you go thong you'll never go wrong. For "sexy" I like Victoria's secret but believe it or not Old Navy has great cotton thongs and they're not real expensive. Never thought I'd be talking about thongs on a disney chat board :earboy2:

Old Navy make my favorite ones too!

Question for all you Body by Victoria users. I simply love mine that I've had for a few years (when they first came out). The fabric is WONDERFUL at first, but after repeated washings/dryings, they lose their softness. Do you all hand wash and line dry your undies? I've given up on them because the fabric changes after a while.

...:rotfl:

I wash mine in the washer with other things I don't use fabric softener on. I use a low heat cycle on the dryer. The running clothes and the underwear go together in the washer and dryer.

Mine are a few years old and seem just like new.

I have to agree about the Body by Victoria ones and also but you didn't ask I have found a great bra at Walmart, it's made by Bestform, it's a sports bra and it bounce control. I tried so many different types since I do walk/run 6 miles almost daily, and although I love the VS bras they just did not do it for exercise, but now I wear the Bestform ones almost all the time, unless I have a date! :teeth: They look like a regular bra not so much like the sports bras but they are in that section and they are only about $10.00. they have a little mest between the cups so they are breathable. I like them so much I stocked up in case they change the style on me!

This is too funny....I was just complaining about my undies this morning. I changed my shorts twice and my undies three times trying to find a comfortable combo. Hubby suggested buying thongs..but I think we know why he suggested that ;) I never thought they would be comfortable.
Guess I'll try Victoria's Secret. My 10yr old DS refuses to even look at that store as we pass it in the mall. He's so embarassed by it!! I keep threatening to drag him in there but I'm afraid I'll scar him for life!! :earseek:

Try a racerback style bra from VS. The straps on the regular ones always fall off my shoulders and drive me nuts, but the racerback ones attach at the center of the back, so they don't fall off.

I only buy VS undies - they last forever. The bras last even longer than forever if you wash them on gentle and line dry them. I like the new angel undies. They sometimes ride up, but they are so sheer it doesn't bother me. I cannot stand thongs - I feel like I have a constant wedgie. Ugh! I find that I like the cotton bikinis the most. Not too granny-ish but comfy and breathable.

:goodvibes

Victoria's Secret 100% cotton bikini undies for me!!

They don't bunch up under shorts. I have tried panties from Macy's, Target, etc. and the best BY FAR are the VS cotton bikinis. Other brands either shrink so they no longer cover my entire rear, or after they go in the dryer they end up off-center (Hanes specifically do that).

I often get little cards for "free panties" from VS, and most of the time it is whatever the newest fabric is. Those slippery fabrics just don't do anything for me. Too hot.

I do have a pair of Jockey panties from Foley's that are advertised as "no line" even though they are "full coverage". They are fine to go under a pair of formal silk pants but I wouldn't wear them to a theme park.

QVC carries a line of underware called Breezies. They come in high cut and brief styles. What makes them so great is they have a lining that they call "Ultimare" that literally wicks away moisture. I have been wearing these for years and on trips in the Florida summer heat it does what it says it does. Last summer I was in between underware and had to take Walmart 100% cotton undies with me. YuK!! Cotton is great but we all know what cotton does. I will never, ever be without "Ultimare" ever again. In fact, I am reminded to order them right now as I just returned from a 24 hour trip to Disneyland and it was one of the hotest days I have ever spent there. It was about 100 degrees yesterday and in cotton and I just kept wishing I had my Breezies. They are priced at approx. $25 for 5-6 pairs depending on which types you choose. They last forever. The last ones I purchased lasted me about 2 years and that was putting them through the regular wash and dryer loads, no special treatment. www.iqvc.com. :flower:

VS thongs are all I will wear.

As many posters have stated, once you try them you will wonder how you wore anything else.

I have tried a ton of different thongs. I cannot stand the feeling of a permanent wedgie. It drives me nuts!

:earseek: Me too, always willing to help a Dis'er willing to ask!

Believe it or not, go to Victoria's Secret - I am an xl so bear with me!! lol

They have this style of undies that have lycra/spandex, they may be that new fiber that breathes too (I was a cotton only girl btw!) I dont think its their angel line - you just go and feel!!! ( :rotfl: sorry I dont remember the name, I just know 'em when I see 'em) You see dh is a runner, and he has to have the certain brand that doesnt ride up, and that 'wicks' away moisture, well, when I discovered them at VS - I couldnt believe it!! They are the more expensive brand, maybe 3 for $25 on sale??? (3 for $30)

Now this brand does come in all styles, thongs, bikini, hipsters - I've always loved bikini because it goes under my belly sag ( :earseek: tmi)

I was going to suggest those, or VS has these great mesh ones. I didn't see them last time I went, but they are my fav, way over thongs. Very comfy, no lines and they don't go anywhere!

I'll go see if I can find a link!! Well, didnt find them there... lol

good luck, you cant imagine how many times I've almost deleted this

Funny how many of us are VS girls! I wouldn't buy anything else even though I cringe every time I have to pay the bill. Body By Victoria is worth it, though. And I do like the Angels stuff.........makes ya feel like a WOMAN! :teeth:

That is the one I buy too, I thought it was Hanes but just checked, lol. I love these. They have been around for several years. I stock up too!

Another vote for VS! I have the most comfortable pair of undies from them - they are the boy-short variety. No lines, no wedgies, and since they are made of a cotton blend lace, very pretty. I also have a pair of their mesh fabric style. I find them ok for everyday but not too great for a long day of sitting/standing/walking.
My ulitmate tip will sound ridiculous, but here it goes: A couple of years ago, I was shopping with my teenage sister at J.C. Penny's when she saw Day-of the-Week type undies on sale. She thought it would be cute, so we each bought a set. They were the most comfortable things ever with absolutely NO lines! They were bikini cut with very, very thin seams around the edges and had a cute girl in a sassy dress saying "Happy", "Dreamy", etc. I didn't care. I wore them with jeans and with evening gowns. I took better care of them than some of my fine lingerie. The brand is L.E.I. and was no more than $7 or $8 for a pack of 7. I have one left, "happy", and it is already packed in my suitcase for my trip. If you find a similar set by the same brand, give them a try. You may feel a little silly shopping in the juniors dept. for day-of-the-week undies (I know I do, but I need a new set!) but these are great!!!!

I think I now - OFFICIALLY - have seen everything.

A thread about underwear that relates to a Theme Park Strategy.

I personally do not shop at Victoria's Secret. I shop the Fruit of the Loom section at Target. Cause - you can't overlove your underwear.

My vote for functional is Fruit of the Loom high cuts. Very comfortable, 100% cotton, last forever. Wash them in the washer, dry them in the dryer, no shrinkage.

Haven't been able to make myself try the thong. My dentist told me to floss, my OB never told me to floss! :rotfl:

I recently stopped in VS to find my DD and since I had just purchased a pair of white dress pants, decided I needed a pair of nude panties. (DH couldn't understand why I couldn't wear white undies under white dress pants  ) VS had some on sale, so I picked up a pair of Hi-Leg briefs. I love the way they feel.

DD has recently started wearing thongs, not all the time, but she does now wear them and found they weren't as uncomfortable as she thought they would be.

I have been wearing sports bras quite a bit lately. I wore them for our last trip and it was so much more comfortable not having hooks itch my back. I found a set of three through ABC Distributing that are really comfortable. I am a 36C and I think I got the XLg, just to be on the safe side for sizing. They don't feel tight and were a three pack - grey, black and red. I also buy cami's that have the build in bra shelf and wear those under big shirts (no bra to worry about - Mom saw me in one last year and asked if I had a bra on. when I told her no, she said "Must be nice, wish I still sat that high" )

My favorite undies are my cotton Grumpy and bashful knickers that I bought at WDW ;) (not DHs favorites) normally I wear thongs that match my bras from an English chain.

Snacky....stick around a few more years. You'll be AMAZED at what you'll see that ties in (somehow!) to a theme park strategy.

The most astonishing thing is, this isn't the first time the question has been asked. Every time the 'unmentionables' topic comes up (for comfort while touring) it gets more replies than things like, "Where is the best viewing location for Spectromagic" or "Can someone tell me about the new attraction, (fill in name here)?"

It's clothing. Every woman has an answer to questions regarding clothing. :teeth:

Snacky,

Now don't tell me you've never been into VS to look for something for your wife? ;)
