Thought you'd enjoy this...;)

George Bush goes to a primary school to talk about the war.
After his talk he offers question time.

One little boy puts up his hand and George asks him what his name
is. "Billy."
"And what is your question, Billy?"

"I have 3 questions. First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the
support of the UN? Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more
votes? And third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?"

Just then the bell rings for recess. George Bush informs the kiddies
that they will continue after recess.

When they resume George says, "OK, where were we? Oh that's right -
question time. Who has a question?"
Another little boy puts up his hand. George points him out and asks
him what his name is. Steve."
"And what is your question, Steve?"

"I have 5 questions. First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the
support of the UN? Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes? Third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden? Fourth, why did the
recess bell go off 20 minutes early? And fifth, what the heck happened
to Billy?"

Good morning.

Message for the day. Put all trolls on your ignore list and let's get back to having some meaningful exchanges on how to win this thing.

Don't let them get us off the issues!

Ignore, Ignore, Ignore!!!

Lebjwb: no need to put them on ignore, if they have something interesting to say, I'm always willing to listen; but if they only want to create trouble I choose not to acknowledge them.

Good morning fellow Kerry supporters. Hopefully today will be troll-free. Only one more week before I cast my vote:) . I really can't wait.

Good morning, people! :) Even you Repbulicans who have come to visit. :) I must say I admire your tenacity, but you don't have much chance of changing my mind. You see, I think your President has led us marching into a deep dark pit based on information that proved to be untrue, so my vote is firmly placed with Kerry. Thanks for your efforts though. :)

Oh, and Hagred, I have to agree with you on not bothering with people who could just flip a coin. Those people should not be allowed to vote, quite frankly. I ran into a friend of a friend the other day, we got to talking about the election, as everyone is doing at this stage of the game in Washington. She goes, "I know you are voting for Kerry", and I tell her yes, of course, isn't she? She then goes on to tell me no, she is voting for Bush because she thinks he is the better looking of the two and that Kerry seems like a "whiny baby". No mention of the issues, where she stands, nothing. It all comes down to who looks better and who is the more whiny. Scary, when you really think of it.

Oh and as far as polls, the only poll that matters is the one on November 2. :)

ITA. ::yes::

Don't feed the trolls.

Thank you for your refreshing courtesy, I agree with you that only one poll counts. You explain your position well. I think we won't know on November 3rd, this election will be decided in the courts.

After what happened last time, I pray you're wrong.

That's it. I've had it with them. I hate seeing people spread around misinformation, but it's the same ones who do it over and over and over again.

My mother had a great phrase............"Leave them in their own ignorance".

It's over. I've taken the pledge..........I won't be feeding the trolls anymore.

No, unfortunately I'm not kidding. :(

I've been amazed at the amount of unimformed people who I've encountered during this campaign, as well as the apethetic. I've got a sister-in-law sticking with Bush, mainly because she is under church influence to do so. She's been told not to support anyone who is pro life or who doesn't take a hardline on "marriage is for heteros only." Who knows, maybe deep down she wants to vote for Kerry, or at least consider each candidate and decide based on all the issues, but her church told her to vote for Bush.

And this is what it comes down to. I think a landslide for Kerry is probably not going to happen, there is so much pressure from the right ----- and then you have the whole fear! red alert! madness guiding people to the polls to vote for Bush. I just hope Senator Kerry scores enough votes to be elected, but I predict a close race at best.

Good morning everyone!! How's everything going in your neck of the woods?

Pretty nice here. Beautiful, sunny, and there's a little nip in the air that'll last for a few hours.

Oh, btw, I took the pledge. Ahhh, life is good.

Quick post before I run off to play all day...;)

I know several people from my church who are voting for Bush because they got sent emails telling them that if Kerry is elected he will outlaw the Bible...

I know one who is voting for Bush because she KNOWS Kerry will appoint Hillary to the Supreme Court if he's elected.

I kid you not, they actually believe that crap.

And Republicans are perfectly happy to get votes based on lies.
And they have the nerve to look down their noses at us because we hand out pizza for votes?????

Scary days indeed.

Someone should remind the Religious Right that since God chooses our presidents they don't need to vote. Its all predetermined anyway, right? :)

My experience has been completely different. The people I've encountered have been amazingly informed, and best of all, are not apathetic, but can't wait to get to the polls. The lines at the early voting stations have been very long and the conversation is not "Four More Years". Something like that never bodes well for an incumbent.

I don't think this election is going to be as close as the pundits think it will. This is 1980 all over again and things are going to break for Kerry (they already are) with a sizable amount breaking in the voting booth.

Well that is most encouraging for me to read, thank you! I've been blue all morning, just sort of in a funk for the first time since I got involved in the campaign. I know what it really comes down to is getting out the vote, and monitoring that every vote counts. I think I'm at the point where I just wish it was November 3 already, this living in limbo is the hardest.

Here's a story that tells you a little something of what's really going on in this country.

I was on I-4 yesterday, and I stopped off at gas station about midway between Tampa and Orlando. I was paying for the gas, and I saw the newspaper with the story about the 50 murdered Iraqis. I was shocked and said something like "Oh My God". Behind me was this one fellow, who out of the blue said "We ought to get out of there (Iraq). Bush should never have gone there". Then the clerk jumped in with the same sentiments.

I've seen this happen before: during the 1992 election and the Republican witch hunt of Bill Clinton during the 1990's. People want to talk and express their feelings and it isn't good for the Republicans.

Anecdotal evidence is not very good evidence, except when you hear those anecdotes over and over again. Then, that anecdotal evidence tells you something is happening.

Good morning everyone :) The sun is out for the first time today in over a week.

I'm feeling a bit out of sorts this morning after telling off my FIL last night. He called to give status on SIL and while I was on the phone (I answered) waiting for DH to come in and talk to his father, FIL decided to relay his opinion of those who joined the Navy during Vietnam and how they were only marginally better than draft dodgers.

I had a headache and was all ready feeling punchy, so I gave him the chewing out that no woman has given him before.

I feel like I got a bit obsessive on here yesterday. LOL, crankyshank that sounds annoying. I haven't told anyone off in atleast 10 hrs. so thats a good thing!;)

I need a break!:earseek: The weather is kind of gloomy today here too, maybe the sun will come out later.

Have a great day!:sunny:
