For a mid-week break, I plan to do a 1/2 or 3/4 day at AK, say until 3, then go to DTD where I hope to take my girls & dn to BBB, how much time should I allow with Disney bus transportation to get to DTD, and does that bus just "drop you off" in the middle and you find your way?

Second ? is, if we are at DTD, and I want to make a 6:30 - 7 p.m. ressie for WCC, how long do I figure for bus times from DTD - WL?? Is there a boat or something that runs there, or just the bus transportation?

THANKS!!

You should always allow 45-60 minutes to get from point to point via WDW buses. It may--and often does-- take you less time than that, but 45-60 minutes will have you covered.

First of all, I agree with Bob P.

When you take a bus to DTD, the first stop will be at the DTD Marketplace. Get off there, and walk through the Marketplace section towards World Of Disney -- huge place, can't miss it. BBB is inside that store.

No boat from WL to DTD. Bus only. I think it's been everyone's anecdotal experience that DTD buses run slightly less often than resort buses, which usually results in longer average waiting times.

Just wanted to add (in case you weren't aware) that there's no direct transportation from AK to DTD. You'll need to stop off at a resort first and transfer.

Good catch!!! You will have to go to a resort, I would suggest AKL, and then take their DTD bus. Or you can take the SSR bus and hike over but that's about 15 or so minutes I believe..someone will have the walking time, I'm sure.

I always plan on an hour transit time...I'm usually early this way. With DTD though, allow a bit more time. I have found the buses to, and from, DTD to be the slowest on-site.
