For Croc Wearers: Socks or Not? What Kinds?

I usually wear the nile style when visiting Disney I use Monistat chafing cream on my feet to avoid blisters. Usually works well.

I wore two pairs of socks with mine. I guess I doubly don't care about looking dorky. My feet, which are usually awful, felt great though! I could care less about looking dorky. And anyways, it's Disney! It's the capital of dorky clothing- just look at the hats alone!

I don't own a pair of crocs but, really, whatever gets your feet through the vacation without them getting sore is totally the way to go.

I will be committing several shoe faux pas over our vacation (non-Croc related) and believe that looking dumb is totally worth it.

Rock those socks!

I wear ankle socks with mine too. With all there is to look at WDW no-one will be looking at your feet! Be comfortable.

I wore my crocs (beach style) with no socks during a July trip. I had no problems with blisters and loved having them on during the late afternoon storms. They would get wet and dry up in no time at all. Everyone is different so make sure you wear whatever keeps you comfortable.

I always wear socks with mine. I can't stand the feel of the bumps on the bottoms. Plus, walking, esp in the parks, rubs blisters if I don't have socks on. Crocs are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned & the only ones that I don't get blisters in the parks with (as long as I wear socks).

IMHO our commander in chief looks fine in the crocs, its the shorts that make me laugh. He has funny looking legs. After seeing that I will have no problem wearing mine, even if they are a teal blue, with white ankle socks. Need to go to Disney for more Disney socks, have worn mine out.

I agree with everyone else--wear what you want. Whatever sock and shoe combo that feels the best, that is what I wear at WDW. I wear Crocs in the winter with big rag socks. This Dec at WDW was warmer and I wore the little ankle socks. I also don't think I could do all day at WDW w/o socks, but I have been sporting my little Celeste Crocs sans socks around town and they feel pretty good. And fashion police at WDW. . . if all they can find to do at WDW is make fun of my shoes, then I am happy to oblige them Laugh away. I'm gonna be enjoying myself too much to notice.

If I'm going to be walking a lot I wear socks. I usually just wear white socks that come up to my ankle. I see loads of people wearing Crocs with socks, I would just wear whatever is comfortable.

I also have problems with the sweaty slippery feet thing so I just wear shorty socks with mine. I try to find ones with fun colors or designs that match whatever I'm wearing (DH says he doesn't know why I bother, the Crocs are so ugly no one even notices the socks LOL).

I always wear socks with my crocs. (I do remove my socks for the River raft ride in AK) I choose the short socks (would be considered a no show sock in regular tennies.

but at WDW it is a must for me. I get tired of how the inside of the shoe feels after a while. I wear ankle socks with mine. For some reason, the no-show socks I buys always fall down.

I bought a pair in the park yesterday after my feet were getting blisters from my flips flops.... I left with two sets of blisters, one from the first flip flops, and the second from the Crocs. I will be wearing mine with socks from now on but that was only my first experience.

I wear socks all the time with my crocs. Usually the short ones. If it's raining I take them off and just keep walking.

Never heard of Croc socks before (and you are right...it does sound like a Dr. Seuss book!) I'm going to check online to see if I can find Croc socks.

I have been pondering this question, too, as we get closer to departure!

I have seen it mentioned a couple of times, but I would like a little more info--I have the Athens flip-flops and LOVE them. Has anyone done the parks in the flip-flops? I actually think they are more comfy than my beach crocs. I'm thinking I can probably wear them all week at WDW, but then I see the comments about people being crazy to wear flip-flops at WDW

Before I discovered crocs my feet would blister by day 2, Now I wear my Disney crocs WITH socks and on day 10 I am still steppin like it was the first day of our vacation. Don't worry about what you look like just have a wonderful vacation!!!
