Thanks for the video of the parade!!! I agree... I like DL's parade MUCH better than the MK at WDW!!!

It seems like WDW's is recycled alot from year to year... I mean come on... the crystal castle float I have pictures of from the 80's!!!

Great update!! Sounds like you guys had a very long day of waiting but in the end I'm sure it was worth it for Johnny! That was nice of that woman to let you guys borrow the umbrella, I dont know if I would of been able to make it either with out some relief from the sun.

My excitement is growing with each of your instalments! It's like I'm right there with you. Can't wait for more!

I have to make everyone wait for a little bit at least! It was worth it for Johnny, even though when I finally saw myself in the mirror at the end of the night, I looked like Rudolph from the sunburn!

Awwww...thanks! I have to let the suspense grow to make the story good! I remember Furby! That seems like so long ago! I actually just saw the movie, "Transformers" tonight and there was a truck in the movie with Furby on it! I thought that was really odd and pretty funny!

what a great report so far....... OMG, i feel like i am waiting with you! sorry to hear about the roach motel. i WILL remember that name, so when we go we WONT stay there!!

Someone on another trippie suggested buying the bath pillows from the dollar store and using those to sit on while waiting for parades and such. I guess it is too late to try it now, but for future reference.

I used the neck pillows we brought for some of the time, but it didn't seem to help too much. Once, I laid down on the ground to get some rest, I couldn't even move to get up!

Another great installment!!! I don't think I would have been able to sit there that long, I give you tons of credit! The frozen lemonade sounds yummy as does the sweets from the bakery...YUMMY!

The anticipation is killing me with all of your cliffhangers but it is making it so much fun! I am so looking forward to the next installment!!!!

I'm glad you enjoyed my video and loved the parade! That is pretty much true about WDW's parade! I never really thought about it, but that is so true! I personally liked them better as the snow globes, than what they are now.

Bring out the Pirates! Bring on the Fun!



It was quickly approaching 5:00pm and we had been standing for the past hour. It was that time for us to all crowd-in and squeeze together. A lot of people had just shown up to Disneyland before they closed for the day and were pushing-in behind us. DH & I were standing our ground. It quickly becomes like a "war zone!" Everyone is out to protect and worry about themselves and that's it! You see the worst in people, that's for sure! DH & I had our stance ready, so we had space to move and could still use our arms. We did have a video camera and a camera to operate! Plus, I wasn't about to be squashed against the barricade and we were lucky because only the front row, us, could fit on the actually street area. Meaning the people behind us, were standing above us, which was a good thing because they could still have a view. They wouldn't have been able to see much standing directly behind us. Plus, there were annoying parents there, who thought their children should be allowed to move to the front because they are kids and are short. Yeah, right!!! I can't stand parents like that! I will start my rant.... I was never given special treatment when I was a kid and my parents didn't expect me to be given any! I could go on and on...

But, let's get back to the good times!

Well, we knew the red carpet arrivals were about to begin when we saw our favorite pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, make his way down the red carpet!

There was a lot of press there for the red carpet, including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and the Disney Channel. They were in front of us shooting a few different segments!

Then, it was time for some good 'ol pirate entertainment! These entertainers were fantastic and so funny! They were really getting us ready for the evening and we all broke out into "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me!"

This guy was amazing and my second favorite pirate of the night! He was so much fun and just loved our section! He kept coming back over to perform for us because we showed him so much love!

Another highlight of the pre-red carpet entertainment was a pirate with his amazing parrot! This parrot was fantastic!

The Stars Arrive on the Red Carpet!
Part 1


It was probably close to 6:00pm before we started to see any celebrities walk down the red carpet and we didn't know who would be arriving! It was a quick surprise once we saw anyone we recognized! The excitement and anticipation was definitely growing for the big stars of the night to make their appearance!

We first saw Emma Roberts aka Juila Robet's Niece, she's staring the new "Nancy Drew" film and has her own show on Nickelodeon!

We then saw Christy Carlson Romano, she stared in the show "Even Stevens" on The Disney Channel with Shia LaBeouf & stared in "Beauty & the Beast" on Broadway.

Vinessa Shaw from "Hocus Pocus", "40 Days & 40 Nights", & "The Hills Have Eyes" was super sweet!

We had the perfect spot on the red carpet because the stars would walk down and then walk right to us! It was great! I was actually the first person they came to every time once they go to our section when they signed autographs. It worked out great! Plus, I think my long arms helped too!

Holly Robinson Peete was also there and I just love her! Plus, I was so excited because I am a huge fan of "21 Jump Street," the show where Johnny's career started! Holly was also one of the main characters on the show, so it was so neat to know she was there to support Johnny!

All the stars from ABC and The Disney Channel were there, of course! It was around the time of the finales for "Dancing with the Stars" and "The Bachelor," so they were all there!

Lauren Holly was also there with her cute little boy! I thought he was adorable! You may know her from "Dumb & Dumber," plus she use to be married to Jim Carey.

Stacy Keibler from WWE & "Dancing with the Stars" was there too!

I just have to tell you...I LOVE THIS TR!!!!! You are doing a brilliant job.

I have been sitting here for about...2 hours reading. It is great. I am a HUGE JDepp fan and I am about to die from the suspense. I can't wait to see/hear/read if you met him, got pictures, autographs... I am living vicariously through you.

A side note: My Dsis got to go to the premiere of POTC2 DMC while she was in Paris. I begged her to go for me and she finally agreed. She had a ball. She said it was crazy, loud, people were pushing and shoving but she loved it and got an autograph from OBloom & Johnny as well as some pics. You can see them on my TR.

Now, in regard to the first part of this trippie: I was seriously spooked by the hotel. The attic door, overflowing toilet, unlocked window...You certainly painted a picture for us. I will make sure to put that on my "never stay there list"! It reminded me of a movie I saw back in the 80's called Hotel Hell. Sounds like an appropriate name for this place!

Thanks for posting all the pictures and for sharing all the details of DL. We really want to go there within the next couple of years. I am glad that the two places, although similar are very different. You make me all excited about the idea. How are the CMs there? Is there a dining plan?

I really enjoyed the video of the parade. It looks great!

Your DH sounds like mine. He is always willing to go along with whatever I come up with. We are very lucky girls .
