First I'd like to say thank you. After reading all the threads in regards to what is happening in the schools to peoples children I don't know how you manage to actually teach anyone. Not only are you suppose to teach you are also suppose to be policemen,referees, and therapists. Good grief you all must love your jobs and be very stable emotionally. I don't know how you deal with all the parents who think that there children are never in the wrong for anything. It's amazing you can ever get any teaching done! Again Thanks.

Daxx's Wife here ... I'm a Kdg. teacher and want to say thank you for what you said. It's not an easy job, but I do have loads of fun and adore my students!!! And, I'm lucky that I have a lot of great parents this year and a wonderful principal who backs me and a wonderful staff of teachers who are also friends.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It's so nice to feel appreciated. I'm a first-year teacher and I love it, although I'm very overwhelmed with trying to juggle all of the "roles" I am supposed to play!

I will say this: when you get those smiles from your troubled kids, when you get hugs from any kids, when you want to jump and cheer like a lunatic because someone "gets it"...it's all worth it!!!!

I can't think of too many unpleasant people that I've come across in my 15 years of teaching. Guess I'm lucky to be in a school where education is valued and parents are willing to be partners. Honestly, I read some of these threads and feel so bad for the teachers that have to deal with some of the parents that post here.

Thanks to all of you nice supportive parents!! I know you guys really are the MAJORITY!!
