PM received w/cell phone number. Thanks! We'll be in touch and hopefully will cross paths with you and yours for a quick meet 'n' greet.
BTW: We will be attending MVMCP on the night you mentioned. :santa:

All the best. :thumbsup2

Looks like this could happen! We have not bought the tickets yet for the party but I probably will this weekend, just to be sure. Wanted to wait for weather report but concerned that it will be a sellout.

Oh so close for all three of us to be in the same place at the same time. Last time it happened was 2010, and we didn't do a good job of figuring it out then LOL.

I can't imagine you guys only doing one trip, although I would have said the same thing about us. We haven't been there since August 2012. Feels like an eternity, we're getting cautiously excited :goodvibes

looks like we will be missing bc by one day. depending on when tammy gets out of work on Wednesday the 18th, we could be pulling in to okw anytime Thursday the 19th between 9am and 2pm. also pending on traffic and weather.

We will be arriving after her graduation day but would enjoy seeing her in action as she pleasantly goes about her job. A great kid, to be sure!

It's great that you can document those early trips. We've got 1997 to the present covered: 283 days. We've got another eight days to add before the month is out. That would add up to 291. :teacher:
From 1974 to 1996, our memories have to provide the answer. At the low estimate end, it's 60 something; at the high estimate end it's 80 something. Of course, dozens of those numbers are last day departures, not overnight stays. Still, we were in a Disney Park on those days, at least for a while.

In any event, drive #31 begins next week after this upcoming weather system passes.

All the best. :thumbsup2

thanks again bc for looking her up!!! its funny there have been more people, some don't want to be named but either asked and or found briana on this small thread then all the "disdads" put together. tammy, briana and I thank everyone for there support!!!!!:thumbsup2

We expected an inch of snow and received a half a foot of the stuff! Hopefully, there will be improvement on the roads before we depart in a couple of days.

All the best. :thumbsup2

we just got a coating to an inch!!!! I hear there was a 30 car pile up on i78 west by the hamburg exit.

I have the shovel in the car all ready to go for our trip next week in case we need it.

I made a little video for Briana today while it was snowing. she was sitting behind the bakery area on main street waiting for her shift to start in the 80 degree sun in her Christmas party costume. :lmao:

she says hello!!!!!

Hi! Were driving down from Illinois in January and I was concerned about possible snow. So I was just wondering for those who are traveling during all this snow, what your plans are? Do you just make the drive and just drive carefully? Or what? lol

Surfinpiratee, we are leaving on Dec 31 from SW Wisconsin, but are flexible to leave as early as Dec 29, should incoming weather speed up our departure. Pulling two trucks with 5th wheels. Our only concern is ice on the roads. Snow is tolerble.

Have you made the drive in the winter before??

a few times now he hit snow. One was a blizzard. But as others mention- you just need to leave earlier (or put up with getting there later).

What we usually (TRY TO) do is plan a "relaxing drive" with an overnight stop planned for the middle and a late evening arrival the next day. If it hits the fan we can leave earlier, not stop, and/or be less leisurely to make up time. We can even get in several hours later without changing our plans as we wouldn't hit the parks the first evening there anyway.

In the summer we might just plan to drive straight through without such a buffer.

Hmm. Snow has practically stopped. Only an inch or so, and the roads have been cleared and salted. However, the temps will not get above freezing for the next couple of days. We're concerned about the patchs of so-called black ice as we prepare to depart later.

And gas just went up another two cents to $3.29!

All the best. :thumbsup2

sorry... has nothing to do with driving other than she has made the drive 28 times as a kid. :rotfl:

for the people who have been putting up with me for the last 8 months, Briana graduated today from the college program!!!! she got her ears, diploma and gifts. she loved her time working in the mk. she is looking forward to going back one day and working there again but, unlike her dad, she wants to graduate from college first. she works till January 3rd and flies home on the 4th.

we are leaving next Wednesday to spend Christmas with her and will be coming home the 29th. thanks everyone!!! :thumbsup2
