im lucky, the kid next door goes to penn state and needs the money. he mows my grass when we are gone and will take care of the snow. I have a "winter watchman" its a little box you plug in to a socket, you plug a lamp into the little box, if the temp falls below 65 in the house, the light goes on. I use a little window candle with a blue light and put it in the window facing his house.he also sticks his head in every few days just to make sure, I shut the water off and drain the water lines. I also winterize the toilets just in case.

That's great that you have someone like that. The kids in my neighborhood I wouldn't trust further than I could throw them. That box sounds interesting. Where do you get that?

At work. Lol

We sell them. If your interested pm me. We have a store in Northampton on 10th street and also in Nazareth. They are falling by the way side anymore with the new alarm systems going into houses, the alarm system senses the temp drop and you would get a call. Yes he is a great kid. His grandparents live on the other side of me and his two aunts across the street. Lol. He can't look cross eyes with out getting caught doing something. Lol

In NC near Fayetteville. Couple drizzles but no "real" rain all day. Traffic great the whole way. Thought about pushing thru to WDW but no cabins available for tonight. So we'll take our time and get a good night's sleep on the road.

Go Sharon go!!! Flush out all those troopers for me!!!!

Raining hard in SC!! Haven't seen a trooper since Virginia. Stopping in GA in 10 minutes. Rough ride with the storms for the last hour and a half. Looking forward to stopping.

Ah, the mixed emotions of arriving home after a WDW stay....

Since we left a little bit early yesterday morning (7:52 a.m.) from the GFR, and since traffic was relatively light, and since we had no construction delays (southbound I-95 in MD was something else!), and since I was not tired, we decided (after a Cracker Barrel meal in Emproria, VA) to keep on going. And we did. We arrived home after a 1,064 mile drive this morning at 1:45 a.m.

We had hoped to flash high beams and wave at dvczerfs and family as they were driving to WDW and we were leaving (we did this once before with good friends and it was cool!). Alas, by the time we connected on the phone, we had crossed into GA and he was on I-4. However, we probably crossed paths somewhere on I-95 between Palm Coast and St. Augustine.

At WDW, we finally met sharadoc, a most pleasant and friendly lady, and her family on Main Street USA. And we all watched Cinderella Castle get illuminated the night we met. And we once again met Briana, dvczerf's personable and charming WDW CM, in Tomorrowland during MVMCP.

Note: we saw gas prices ranging from $3.03 to $3.54. Disney Hess was $3.32 a few days ago.

Drive #31 is history. Drive #32 scheduled for April.

All the best.

on Thursday I seen a loves with reg gas at $2.99. gas price where all over the place.

Give our best to Briana and the rest of your family. And extend greetings to Sharon and her family.

Now then...any chance in the not-too-distant future that dvczerfs will be driving a much shorter distance to WDW? Perhaps a permanent zip code change? It's the only way we can ever hope to challenge your all-time record [see page one; post one]. :worship:

All the best. :thumbsup2

Left from north east pa yesterday around midnight. Did 81-77-26-95-4 route and it took 16 hours. I prefer that to our usual 81-66-15/17-95-4 route. Let the vacation begin

At what point did you get onto 95? We are in philadelphia and are right next to (literally) 95.

also, how many tolls did you pass through?

On the road again . . .

Had a late breakfast at the best breakfast buffet on property, Trail's End, around 11. On the road at 12:22 plan to stop in Wilson tonight, then home tomorrow afternoon.

Great meeting BBC1836 and his lovely bride and watching the castle lighting together. Lovely folks that we hope to spend more time with.

Dinner and campground looping with the DVCZerfs family - what a lovely evening with good friends!

Overall could have been the best trip EVER! Sorry that it's over.

Howdy! Indeed, it was a pleasure to meet you and enjoy watching Cinderella Castle illuminate the the night.

We can't believe that your latest WDW journey is in its return-home phase. :(

To be sure, it is quite wonderful to meet folks who have a genuine appreciation for WDW, love and respect for their fellow family members, and a true sense of the good things in life. We see the same qualities in dvczerfs through Briana.

Merry Christmas! :santa:

All the best. :thumbsup2
