See didn't even think of that. Thanks!!
We could make that if we don't hit any traffic. Usually takes us 12 hrs to Savannah and then about another 2 hours to the GA/FL line? That would be around 2am if we leave NJ at 12noon? May try for that :thumbsup2

if you can leave midnight even better. more night driving the better as far as traffic. bc just posted his times from nj a few post back on this thread. maybe that will give you a good idea where you should be. he drove a lot of his trip over night. :thumbsup2

FP+ Under the Sea, Peter Pan and Buzz.

People Mover.

Twilight Refreshers at Royal Palm Club.

Dinner at California Grill.

Then, who knows?!

All the best. :thumbsup2

Cool stats!

Over the decades, we have ridden several rides/attractions well over 100 times: People Mover, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Buzz.

Headin' back to the MK tonight for the Electrical Parade and Wishes!

All the best. :thumbsup2

tammy and I are looking forward to going down in September. it will be our 30th anniversary but we don't have to do any running around. no picking up from work or dropping off at costuming...... it was fun but what a goings on. :lmao: looking forward to some good adrs and hitting some rides at rope drop, some fps and just hanging out.
a girl briana danced with for almost 15 years is down there now on the program and she is real close to Minnie mouse. I have to get down to see Minnie! :thumbsup2
she also has a few friends that work there full time that we have to say hello to but we are looking forward to it.
its going to be another 11 day trip so we will have plenty of time.
briana starts her new job next Monday! when she went back for her second interview, there was a crowd starting to form. they had all kinds of questions about what is was like working in the mk. :lmao: (she didn't kill the magic for anyone) I think that is some kind of oath they take or something. :lmao:
well enough from me........ have a great trip and keep us posted!!!!! I have to go to work tomorrow at 4am so im off to bed but I will ask you now vor tomorrow morning....... sooooo whats on the menu today!! :thumbsup2

Starting our drive from upstate NY Friday at noon... today's checklist was - oil change - clean floor mats - vacuum pickup truck - decide not to put rubber mats back and stay with carpet for comfort - clean out all storage bins - load the dog crate and beach stuff - packed all kitchen stuff - packed all beach stuff - packed all dog stuff - packed all electronics and papers This evening and the next 3 is laundry and clothes packing! We'll be stopping just north of Charlotte NC (Huntersville) on the way down. We're renting a house since this is a somewhat short notice trip (for us!)
have a great trip.

Hello from Rhode Island as well! We are leaving next Thursday from North Kingstown. Curious as to where you are stopping on the way home.

I have put so much thought into where to stay going down that I haven't event hought of where to stay on the way home. One year we stayed at a nice Country Inn suites, but I cant remember where lol. THE following year we stayed at a not so nice cheap motel.

Despite all that info, we expect to see Briana at the MK this week. She is part of the WDW experience. No excuses now. :lmao:

All the best. :thumbsup2

here you go.......................

she still refers to you as BC. ;)
she has this along with the others in her college program scrap book. :thumbsup2

she misses being a cast member. (well, once a cm always a cm in disneys eyes) I have read over the years the way Disney treats there people and I can only speak for her, they treated her with nothing but respect and management, upper and lower treated her like family. now that she is starting this new chapter that she has the same experiences. ( or somewhat close to it) :lmao: I said it before and not just because she is my kid but I have a new respect for front line cms. they are a special group of people in more ways then one. people think being a cm has to be the easiest job in the world, heck, who wouldn't want to go to work in the mk everyday.
but it is a tuff job. you deal with thousands of people a day. some at there best and some at there worse. your task is to make them happy and have a magical experience. I know I couldn't do it. :lmao:

Ah, my "Richard Perry" photo! Thanks for posting.

Indeed, WDW CMs are a great group, and we know a bunch of 'em. We wish Briana continued success!

All the best! :thumbsup2

Hello!!!!! Dave never wants to stop on the way home, we always end up driving straight through. One time, I did have reservations made in Virginia and we were there, I do believe, around 7pm. But.....NOPE.....he kept driving.

Sorry

Cheryl

Since our arrival at the GFR on Sunday morning, we had not used our vehicle until this evening when we drove to the AKL for dinner at Jiko. It's a funny feeling you get after driving 1,000+ miles and then taking a break for several days (and not even looking at your vehicle) to get behind the wheel again.

Tomorrow: A drive to HS and then over to AK. :drive:

All the best. :thumbsup2

When we drive down, we barely get in our car ourselves. We might use it once or twice and that is to get from one resort to another.

Have fun@

Although our driving mileage within WDW is lower than average on this trip, we have driven well over 60+ miles while here. It all depends on where we go and at what time we want to get there. WDW transportation is erratic, especially the buses.

All the best. :thumbsup2

So true! Last Friday we got on a bus at DTD Marketplace at 2pm, stopped at Pleasure Island, Typhoon Lagoon, WL and then finally arrived at GF 45 minutes later! It took forever! It would have been much quicker to drive my own car but I knew the parking at DTD was spotty so I took the bus. Bad idea!

Alas, too many bus stories! :scared1:

Our favorite WDW transportation type is the "launch" craft, especially the loop which connects the MK, GFR and the Poly. Ah. :goodvibes

Note: Disney Hess was $3.57 regular today.

All the best. :thumbsup2

:lmao: I don't know.... can you handle another one in the car? my wife says I act like an eight year old. :lmao: i'm the youngest of five. three brothers and a sister. I spent some time in a car with other kids. I was the one in the early 70s, sitting in the back/back of the station wagon, facing the back window in a steel frame and a big door handle, teeth level, sitting next to my sister with not a seat belt in sight. the a/c worked real well back there under the rear picture window with the sun beating in. :lmao: oh, and if the steel, chrome bumper didn't stop the car that rear ended you, you feet were only inches away to put a stop to the distracted driver behind you. :lmao: these kids now days have noooooooooooooo idea how good they have it. :lmao: geez my dad would yell at me for standing up on the back seat so I can see out the windshield because I blocked his view out of the rear view mirror. he told me to move over to one side or the other if I wanted to stand!!!!!! :lmao: anyone else grow up in the 60s/70s and share the same scars! :lmao:

While I didn't grow up I the 60s/70s. I did get to experience the "seat" at the end of the station wagon watching cars approach and sitting on the steps of a full size passenger van simply because no one else fit there.

Well we are a T minus 11 hours.
Will check back in if possible during the drive

Lol. I guess it is just you and I who got to sit in the back!!
We never had a full size van, when you say step, are you talking about the step on the side!
Enjoy the rest of your trip!!! I'm on my way back to work this morning, it's our annual inventory. 18 hours Friday and 12 hours today. Everrrrrry thing gets counted!!!
