Sorry. Another poster said they were from PA. You'll just have to hope you don't get too much traffic.

We'll be making the trip in 6 days .. So excited!!
congrats and have a safe trip!! :thumbsup2

I may be making the drive on black Friday but not to go to the parks I may have an interview in ocala
Ocala ??? there's no Disney world in Ocala. :rotfl: (I wouldn't want to work at wdw, where would I go on vacation? :rotfl2:
We can't wait!! Just tell her to have throat lozenges ready because we want to hear ALL about it.

oohhh there are some things she cant talk about....... she told me, and I quote, " I can tell you, but then I would have to kill you".:lmao: and they all stick together. :lmao:

First rule of college program, ..... :rotfl:

The commute to the parks from ocala would be so much shorter than from pa :)

if you move there, we all can stay with you when we go down. :grouphug:

(its like having a pool in the back yard, you have friends you never knew you had before. :lmao:)

good luck with the interview! :thumbsup2

:lmao: she is having a blast. she does get home sick. tammy and I never thought she would go must less stay. :lmao: she is coming home January 3rd. (been there since may 16th) she is signed up for her classes already. she wants to get her degree done and maybe go back down for the summer. if we lived there, she would try for a full time job. she has to come home to figure out there is nothing here. nothing to do, no jobs just cold, damp weather. she had a great time, has a very good work record with the company and has met a lot of great people. its not all pixie dust, no job is but she said it really hasn't killed the magic for her. what is nice is that place is always looking for people so she would have a pretty good chance of going back and working there again.(she can tell you some stories. :lmao: )

Sounds like Dad thinks it's a great idea! So when are you and Tammy planning to move there? You're too young to retire!

I think she has the personality to be successful there. She is a genuinely sweet young woman (I almost said girl, but she's too grown up!). She has the obvious patience to deal with the jerks and the desire to make good guests happy!

We're SO looking forward to the trip, although the calendar is going by too fast!!! Too much to do here at home while getting ready and packed. We're really ready for it and are getting excited, even though the GAC changes and fastpass stuff is so uncertain.

We are leaving Black Friday. 2 days in the park, 1 day at Seaworld.
i thought so! :thumbsup2

i said it before, it takes a special person to be a cm. im not one of them.:lmao: i never realized the crap those people take. how they let it roll off there backs and keep smiling i have no idea. i guess the same way we all do when we leave work.

she graduates December 10th!!!! gets her certificate and her graduation mickey ears!!!!! still works till jan 3rd. :lmao:

for the first time, she will be flying home!!!! she also talked about flying back down for a little reunion with some of her cp friends in the spring. she will do fine flying, she is looking forward to it. ill post a picture of her in her Christmas costume as soon as i get one. :lmao: she is working the party tonight again. the other night a firework went a stray and hit a fence behind be our guest and sent the woods on fire. she said good thing the fence was there. but, im sure it is there for a reason.

4luv2cdisney: We arrived home from Disney last week, driving to SW Wisconsin. On the way down, we encountered Atlanta at 1:30 a.m. It was a breeze. Coming home, we drove through Atlanta at about 5:30 pm on Saturday afternoon. Not bad, but more crowded than I expected. Last year had us arriving in Atlanta at 6:00 pm on a Friday night. Can I say nightmare!! We have encountered Atlanta at noontime, and found that to be a good time. Have fun, safe travels, and good luck.

Even if you make it at 4:00, it shouldn't be too bad. You may have some slow downs and some stop and go, but it won't be the worst of it.

Look at it this way, if your choices are:

Leave earlier, but you can't
Leave three hours later so you avoid rush hour
Go some route that completely avoid Atlanta but adds two hours

In those scenarios, going right through the heart of Atlanta rush hour is probably still your best bet. Even if you lost an hour (just making up that number) you would still be ahead of any other option. Though that doesn't take into account for the hair that you'll be pulling out. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Thanks! We are sticking to our 3 am departure time! Hoping we make good time and we'll just have to deal with whatever the traffic is!

I would LOVE $3.19. Cheapest here is $3.30. And we don't have nice roads. Lol

We don't have nice roads either. dvczerfs was being sarcastic. Taxylvania roads are crap. Don't know where all those gas taxes go.

Would love to live somewhere else. Gas here near Buffalo is still high at $3.61/gallon. There is no excuse for it. DH was just in NJ last week and paid $2.99/gallon.

The Detroit-Ann Arbor region is in the $3.05 - $3.10 range lately. And, as in many other places, the less said about the roads here, the better. :scared:

Strange: local gas station price for regular jumps in one day from $3.09 (it had been declining steadily for weeks) to $3.13. :confused3

We're still hoping for $2.99 or less next month.

All the best. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I grew up in Pittsburgh. I know all about the roads- especially considering the never ending drive back to my parent's place. But that being said- they're still better than the roads up here lol :thumbsup2
