When I budget for gas on gasbuddy I always like checking the gas charts and seeing how much it has gone up and down the past ten years or so, it is crazy. It's why I add ~100 to that budget because you just don't know...I'm sure you mean $3.29.
Watched a video the other day of our trip from 2009, and I was bragging that I'd filled up the night before our departure at $1.97..
Given its in the $3.20's, now, that's what, a 65% increase in 4 years...
Have noticed some post-Easter backing-off on prices, and what few refiners haven't yet finished gearing up for their summer gasoline formulations should be doing so shortly, so hopefully things continue to moderate at least some.

Yep, our trip January 2009. 100 gallons of gas at $1.89, total trip $189.00
Recent August 2012 trip, 100 gallons at $3.89, total trip $389.00.
That's double!! Still cheaper than flying but not as cheap as it once was. Sad![]()
Just so some speculator can make an extra buck or two!!

Personally, if I were taking the inland route from CT, at that time of day I would just take I-84 west across the bridge in Newburgh and pick up I-81 south in Scranton, PA. IMHO
Avoid New York City and New Jersey all together.

thanks so much!
