FOP single rider line?

Generally yes, Universal's SR lines work well.

One time at Mummy, however, a HUGE line developed for single rider. Maybe it was all even groups in the standby lines, or maybe other reasons, but DH and I were able to ride twice and pass the same people languishing in the SR line.

I do remember one time CMs at Test Track filling whole cars with single riders early in the morning. SR bypasses the design stage, and I suppose there might have been a holdup there, but there were no waiting riders in the standard line.

that Mummy situation probably happens more often at the Gringotts ride which uses the same style of trains as Mummy, there are many times especially when real busy you find the singles closed at Gringotts, the line gets too long so they just close it for a while.

And sometimes I'm held to the side to use as a filler instead of boarding when I'm next. I hate that. On FOP, I was standing in their makeshift SR line for a while because they had all even numbered parties that filled rooms exactly. Felt like I waited forever, and I saw people from behind me in line go in before me.

Single Rider is a blessing and a curse, both for guests and Cast Members.

I went with FP to FOP and felt like you. Saw people continuing to get seated in front of me. And what if I wanted to sit in the middle of the row instead of always being on the end?

I rode FOP alone, during a time when the standby line wasn't super long (only 45 minutes). I definitely ended up grouped into a pre-show way ahead of others in line, as I was the only one in my queue and I was added immediately to fill one empty space in a large group's room. I think this is a fine way to utilize single rider for this ride, especially since it's so popular and people will aim to cut wait times.

My friend and I did split up to do single rider for RSR at California Adventure, but that ride is designed so that there is a LOT of opportunity for a single rider to be needed to fill a car, so we didn't feel that bad about it. I wouldn't so quickly do single rider for a ride that had pairs of seats if I was with a friend, even if we didn't mind sitting apart, as that's not what it's there for.

I liked doing single rider for RnR but I do wish it was more convenient to select a row, since I do not like sitting in the back on that ride. I made it work by allowing the guy behind me to go in my place, so it was fine in the end!

It all comes down to the efficiency of the load crews. FOP, Mine Train; attractions where can basically group odd number parties together to eliminate empty seats, have no need for a single line. To kind, the only attraction I’d like to see have a single rider that doesn’t is Space Mountain. With 2 cars of 3 (much like the rows of Test Track) equals a lot empty seats. Filling those seats with singles would probably help wait times a bit. Admittedly I don’t see the queue working out for it.
