The Backstory:

B and I married in May 2003. We had a lovely wedding followed by a sweet honeymoon. Having a tiny budget, we drove to a small town in Michigan and stayed at his family's lake house. It was quiet and relaxing and just the two of us. B wanted to take me there because it was his happy place, his "Disney World". But it wasn't our dream honeymoon. 10 months later we found out we were having twins, and life has been a roller coaster since!

The Disneystory:

I visited WDW twice as a child and dreamed of going back as an adult. In November 2012 we surprised our kids with our first family trip to WDW for their 8th birthday. We sampled a little of F&W on our EPCOT day and loved it, the kids well not so much. B loved WDW so much that we surprised the kids again the following May (our anniversary) for Star Wars Weekends. B quickly changed his happy place from Michigan to WDW!

And now, our first adults only trip, a 2nd honeymoon, a Disneymoon! Our plan is a 3 day weekend for F&W at the Yacht Club, and (fingers crossed) a dinner at Victoria and Albert's.

So we made a tentative plan last night.

We are hoping to get a morning massage at Ship Shape, and dinner at Victoria & Albert's.
*All the CS restaurants are "maybes" if F&W isn't filling and we need a real meal.

Friday -
Animal Kingdom
Lunch - Yak & Yeti
EPCOT - F&W
Dinner - *Beaches & Cream

Saturday -
Breakfast - Captain's Grille
EPCOT - F&W
Lunch - *Tangerine Cafe
Dinner - *(CS suggestion?)

Sunday -
Breakfast - Captain's Grille (or another suggestion?)
Magic Kingdom
Lunch - Be Our Guest

So B is super excited about this trip! Not that he wasn't excited about the other two, but he wasn't nearly as involved in the planning as he is this time. Last night he was checking out the Disney Floral website and asking a million questions.

The other times I put a lot of pressure on myself with trying to plan a "perfect" vacation for the whole family. But this time I have help. Like should we get park hoppers or a dining plan. He even did the math so we know we can make ADRs in April. It's the little things!

The only question I couldn't answer is about the Ship Shape massage. When can we book? Now, 180 days?

Saw our friends last night and they may join us!!!

Our sons are best friends, and their birthdays are 3 days apart. Our first trip in Nov '12 was a birthday surprise for our kids, and they did the same for their kid. We had so much fun with them. We stayed at different resorts and had different dining arrangements, but had a blast riding rides and hanging out. They are such special friends. This time we will drive down together, probably stay at the same resort, and probably share a few meals.

In other news, the weight loss plan is back in full force. I did well in '12 but gained it all back and then some last year. Only 60 more lbs to go. <sigh>

What a roller coaster week! Things went down, but all came back up. Whew! Talked to another couple who want to join us for F&W. They may not be able to make it because they are trying to get pregnant! So excited for them! Just saw the new Disney Spring deals. How I would love to take the kids for a quick trip, but there is only so much "play" money.

I've been looking at Disney purses and bags <drool> and I started following DisneyBound Closet on Pinterest. Disney inspired outfits. Too cute!

Nothing to report. Just counting down the days. 260! Yuck!

But I did want to report about my awesome BIL. My sister's birthday was yesterday and my niece's birthday is just a few days away, and he surprised them with a WDW trip! Way to go BIL!!!

W2s have been turned in to the accountant (my dad)! But still waiting on daycare to fax their stuff. :-/ Don't these people realize I can't book our Disney trip until I receive that check?! Patience is not my best quality. <sigh>

We are looking possibly booking a 2 bedroom at BC villas. It will be us and another couple, and maybe her brother and a third couple! Yay more friends for F&W!

We got a puppy! A little black pound puppy. They say he's a schnauzer mix. We have come up with a hundred names and nothing has fit yet.

Over 7 months to go. Still working on patience.

Patience is going well with Wally. I was sent a pic of his mom. She's a yorkie schnauzer mix but we don't know about dad. She's kinda cool looking. Schnauzer body, big yorkie ears, coat is a mixed texture. She needs a hair cut. Wally is black with a white spot on his chest, an L shaped tail that comes up and then over (reminds me of a periscope), little ears are flipped down (like a schnauzer) but I wonder if they will eventually stand up.

In other news, all tax stuff has been turned in and waiting on that check. I know, I know... Patience.

WOOHOO! Check arrived! As soon as the deposit goes through, we will pay for our trip and it will be official! Hopefully tomorrow evening. I have no idea why, but we always use our tax return. We've never tried the payment plan.

Oh B and I need to sit down tonight and see if any of the dining plans will be a good deal for us this time. Our first family trip we picked the deluxe and it saved us a good bit since we did almost all character meals. Last trip we had the quick service and it saved a little but we rarely had room for dessert. This time it's just the two of us and we will be spending most of our time at F&W.

So our thoughts are:
Friday - Lunch QS or Yak & Yeti. Hop over to EP. Dinner F&W with maybe a QS or V&A.

Saturday - breakfast Captains Grille or something in EP. Lunch F&W with maybe a QS. Dinner F&W with maybe a QS or V&A.

Sunday - breakfast Captains Grille or something in MK. Lunch QS.

We are going to go with the Dining Plan. Here's our tentative plan. Hoping to eat at V&A either Friday (first choice) or Saturday.

Friday:
Lunch - Yak & Yeti
Dinner - F&W, maybe a QS, maybe V&A

Saturday:
Breakfast - Captain's Grille
Lunch - F&W, maybe a QS
Dinner - F&W, maybe a QS, maybe V&A

Sunday:
Breakfast - Captain's Grille or Main Street Bakery
Lunch - BOG

It's official!!! We have our confirmation number and magic bands. :cool1: I picked orange, B picked grey. I said really plain grey, no fun exciting color?! His response - it will match all his outfits. :lmao:

Edited to add: we don't physically have our bands.

My manager has approved my vacation request! B is waiting to hear from his boss.

So many days to go. At least the wait isn't as bad as the first time. We kept the trip a secret for almost a year.

But hey, we spring our clocks forward tonight. I can't wait for the extra daylight! More time outside with the kids and puppy.

Needed something to do that was related to the trip, so I set a reminder when I can make my ADRs.

Back on the diet and exercise. I am so bad at this.

Ordered maps. I love the custom maps! And it's more mail from Disney. I'm like a kid when I get Mickey Mail. Maybe because I usually only get junk mail or bills.

It really is the little things. Today I have on new work pants and shoes. Feel like a million bucks! LOL

I received an email that the Disney D&Bs are on sale! Woohoo! Select styles. The one I want is not on sale. Boo!

Well no spa. For our dates, they only do couples massage between 11-4. And that's our prime F&W time. It's ok. I just shifted our budget around, and oh look more souvenirs! LOL
