Moving right along the world showcase
. We found our next F&W booth.
We got The Spaetzle ( C) and Sausage on Pretzel Bread (B-).
The Spaetzle was a disappointment, kinda dry and not enough sauce. The sausage KC put lots of mustard on so I only got a small bite of it, and it was good but nothing to write home about.
We took the food and sat down on the fountain in Germany. I had a moment for my Focker friends, as I always do whenever we are in Germany now. I sent KC to get the last stop on our Wine Walk.
I love this weird little window, I could see it from where we were sitting.
Again, I put the Wine Walk paper away, but I know we liked both wines. There wasnt a one we didnt enjoy, so worth the $20.
The next stop was
They had different herbs in pots at most of the booths, I thought it was pretty neat.
We got The Bobotie (A) and Durban Spiced Chicken (A-)
that chicken was SPICY! I took a small bite and made KC go get me a cup of water at the outpost. Whew. I dont deal well w/ spicy but KC loved it. The bobotie was GREAT.
We plopped down at the covered outpost spot and chilled for a bit.
We wandered slowly over the bridge towards China. We saw some birds by the water and KC made me take a picture of one because he swore at first it was a statue until it moved. I was hysterical over this.
We stopped first the Joy of Tea stand, our new favorite place in the showcase. We got our new favorite drink in all of Disney: A peach oolong tea slushie. Heaven in a cup. And awesome in the warm weather.
Then we wandered around in China for a while, a pavilion we hadnt really been in, in quite a while.
On the way out of the shops we caught the tail end of these guys. Very cool show.
And since we were in still in the China groove we went here next:
KC loved the Pot Stickers (B)
We needed a sitting down break so we headed into the seating area by Kringla, in Norway. It always seems to be fairly deserted, and today it was. I grabbed a seat and KC went in to get us some goodies. Really I felt kinda full from all the food wed eaten but when you put desert in front of me I cant help myself, esp. from Kringla.
We had Rice Cream with Strawberries and Lefse (rolled up crepe like thing with a creamy filling) and a cup of water.
I made rice cream recently and I really wanted to have it there to see how I did in comparison. I did good. It really was the same taste. I was very proud of myself!
We sat there for a while and put our feet up and chatted in the lovely shade.
Eventually the bottomless pit that is my hubby needed another plate of food so off we went. We skipped the Spain booth. But we did stop at Vienna for some Goulash (B). I had a taste; it was decent but tasted kinda like a regular stew.
Next we went into the Mexico Pavilion. We walked up the handicapped way since stairs seemed like a bad idea.
So I said to KC Do something Mexican this is what he came up with
.
Heres hoping our humor is taken as just that, if not my apologizes to anyone we offended.
And in case you didnt get enough of stupid hats before heres the last pic for this post
