Funny how you feel about LGA. That is how I feel of JFK. I flew out of there once and that was it. International flights will be from Newark and domestic from LGA.

So we left on the 7pm bus Wed night (the 4th). We got to Bally's around 9ish. I called ahead to The Tropicana (where we were staying) to check in. We got our $21 back from the bus ride (It's why we take the bus) and walked our way down towards The Trop.

We froze our butts off walking, but we got there and checked in no problem. We were really surprised at how nice the room was! It was bigger than our apartment! We even got the king bed!

We dropped our stuff off, freshened up a bit and headed downstairs to find some food. Most everything was closed because of the season. We did wander the Quarter shops tho. The theming is really pretty all around and there is Latin music playing. It's pretty nice.

This is SO KC...but finally I look good in a pic like this...

He was dancing to the music.

We ended up at Hooters for dinner. Nothing else was open. We shared some wings and a crab cake sammie. No complaints. It was late then and we went up stairs to exchange cards.

I made him pose like the picture. I thought it was hilarious.

We exchanged cards and then KC pulled a surprise on me! He had gotten me a gift! We were going to buy something together but hadn't yet...

A fossil watch! The charms are hearts and one says I Love You.

The next morning we slept in, till about 10am and got up and ready. I even straightened my hair. We left the room at about noon. Here's me and my long hair!

We went to the shops and wandered around a bit inside. Some brightly patterned purses causght my eye, you may know them as Vera Bradley bags..... They had a 25% off section...needless to say anniv present #2 was coming up...

It's my first! I am excited. I need to buy a new scarf to match!
Anyways...we went out in search of food and found this...

We ended up in Country Kitchen. We had breakfast for lunch and it was yummy. then we walked out on one of the short boardwalk paths to take a few pics.

We walked our way up the boardwalk towards Trump Plaza, where we were staying. We ended up in the Caesar's Pier Shops for a while. We bought some jelly beans in the candy store and wandered a little. We sat and waited for the water show they have every hour. It was neat.

After that we checked into Trump. We got a room in the north tower. Turned out to be a very nice room too!

We ended up taking a nap since it was a long day already. This is the view after my nap was over, I took it laying in bed.

We got dressed and ready and went out in search of some more grub, what else is there to do on vacation right? LOL.

I can't express how happy with the view we were. We sat around a lot that afternoon/evening just relaxing on the chairs chatting. It was really really great. Not much was open so we ended up walking as far as Ripley's Believe it or Not and finally tried out a place we had wanted to try before, Irish Pub.

The food was cheap (our bill came to $20 w/ beer) and the atmosphere was great. it was homey and cozy. GREAT SPOT! After dinner we walked back and went into Bally's. Then we realized we forgot the gambling cards so we walked around a bit then headed back to Trump. We were going to gamble a bit there but saw that Supernatural was on and stayed in and watched that instead. Then at 10pm when it was over we were too lazy to go so we stayed in the room. We had plans to get up early anyway.

So we were up at about 8am. Threw on some clothes and went to Ceasar's for our fav AC thing, breakfast buffet!!! $14.99 and they have an omelet station and a waffle station. So we chowed down on good breakfast foods and headed back to the room. We had until noon so I showered and got us all packed.

We went straight from the hotel to the outlets for some shopping. I actually bought a bunch of stuff. We got some kitchen tools in a corning ware store, KC got 4 things at Old Navy, I got a pretty box for my fossil watch in Fossil, I got some lotion and sprays in Bath & Body Works and I got 3 new tops in Layne Bryant.

And of course my favorite of all the outlet stores: The Disney Store! Here's what I found for me....

Then we went to the Stewart's stand for KC's fav AC treat, an orange Cream Float. Yum. Please note all the bags he's holding!

We got hungry so we went to Applebee's for lunch. Man is it cheaper than NY! Like several dollars for the meal cheaper. We had a nice lunch and headed to Bally's to catch the next bus home, which turned out to be an hour from then.

Time flew by. We did end up in traffic for 45 minutes extra tho, there was a BAD accident. But after that it was smooth sailing home. We got to NYC around 8:30 and headed to the subway. We stopped for some McDonald's and were home and on the couch by about 10pm!

I haven't always found stuff in the outlets, but this time we spent some $$, it's touch and go, esp the Disney store.

I didn't know about the disney outlet for a few trips either, it's a decent store, mostly kid stuff but some random adult stuff too. OOO I smell a DIS meet....maybe we can convince Mo to come too! That would be so much fun!

We did head straight out to a park, Epcot in fact, because there were EMH’s to be had! Yep I’m a good planner and it was about 8pm once we headed back out but we had until midnight in Epcot! I had no idea how long we would last but we made a go of it!

We went straight to the bus stop and saw this:

There were maybe 2 other people on the bus with us! It was great! So IROE was at 9pm so we knew we’d skip it and try to hit some food and wine booths but we started to get hungry as we drove on the bus and decided we needed more food than just little plates. We did stop for a PP pic on the way in tho, has to be done!

We asked the PP CM how late the restaurants are open when there are EMH’s because I wasn’t too sure. He told us most would be open until at least 10pm. We debated over where to try. KC wanted Biergarten but I didn’t wanna walk that far. We contemplated Chefs De France but decided to try out R&C. I had been there solo on my last trip and KC had never been so we went there to try our luck. We got to the podium at almost exactly 9pm and the waitress said they would take our name after IROE, but she couldn’t take it during. So we sat on the bench right there and watched the show. I shed some tears, as always because it always makes me think of the Christmas trip we took after my mom passed. Man that song gets me EVERY time!

As soon as it was over we put our name in and about 30 seconds later we were seated. We got seated inside (I had never seen inside before) and it turned out we had our own room! I took advantage of that and took some pics around the room.

How neat right? And romantic too. Eventually another family was seated across the room but no one was even near us so it still felt like we were the only ones!

We ordered a few things to share. (My Fav) The cheese plate and potato leek soup were first, with our yummy bread and a Welsh Dragon to drink.

And for the entrée we shared Bangers & Mash. Sorry it’s all cut, I almost forgot to take the pic. Please note this is one order split on 2 plates- holy huge portions!

KC loved the food as much as I did. This is quickly becoming one of my fav Epcot places! We even got a visit from the chef and she chatted with us about the food and the cheeses on the cheese plate. She even printed out a copy of the soup recipe for me! It was a great first meal of the trip, really a perfect way to start!

After our yummy meal we decided to see what we could find in the way of some drinks at a F&W booth. We headed to the Canada booth and I got me a nice glass of Riesling wine! Yum!

We were walking while he was taking the pics. LOL.

I then discovered a hole in my cup, so I drank that puppy fast! Everything else was closing up so we headed back down to future world to see about some rides!

I had never ridden TT in the dark and wanted to, so that was our 1st stop. I told KC about Jo & family and how they always do silly things for the camera…here’s his:

We actually rode on the single rider line and ended up in the same car, so that was really cool.

Next up was Nemo. I hadn’t ridden this in a long while. So off we went. It was a walk on and we sang the “just keep swimming” song the whole time, giggling. We wandered around at the aquarium some too, just because it was so quiet in there.

It was so quiet and the later it got the nicer it was, so we went to the Land pavilion next. We walked right onto Soarin’ too! Actually I think it was a 5 minute wait, but it was so quick. We didn’t get the front, but that was ok. I made KC take his shoes off to ride. I did the same. And we always say that the only thing the ride needs is a little splash of water when you are over the waves and stuff or a burst of cold air when you are in the snow, then it would be perfect. As it is tho, its one of my very fav rides in all of WDW.

We were making our way out of the park and realized that SE was a walk on too…so we walked right on. Last time I rode the camera and video thingie was broke in my car, but not this time. I told KC to make a funny face, and boy did we both make funny faces. I was laughing so hard at the end I almost didn’t get any good pictures! Almost.

I love them, they crack me up!

When we got back to the hotel the food court was closed so we broke down and got some soda and cookies from the vending machine. Highway robbery I tell ya! But I needed a drink. We didn’t get to bed until about 1:30 in the morning. Oh and one other funny thing about the sleeping arrangements…we ended up sleeping in different beds! It was either that or kick the carp out of each other and get no sleep, so we waved goodnight from across the room and went off to dream land!
