OK...I have to confess to being thinking (obsessively) about where I'll be eating over 8 months from now when I visit the Food & Wine festival for the first time!!

I'm wondering about Epcot ADR's... I love so many of the restaurants. But will I be in the mood for big meals with all of the goodies available at F&W?

What do you veterans think? Do you enjoy table service meals in the midst of F&W or do you just eat & drink your way around world showcase?

Ah, a question that I love:lmao We (Dh, DAdultS and I) have gone to the F & W festival the last several years. We have also been on the DDP each trip.
We personally manage our meals with this configuration as follows:
We love eating in WS restaurants. We have Park Hopper passes, so we end most every evening in WS at an International Restaurant. We go for 7 nights. We plan 6 TS meals, usually 1 lunch and 5 dinners. 1 Dinner is a 2 TS on the DDP
So for example, this October, we ate lunch at 50's Prime Time - our TS for that day, and that night we just "noshed around the world" in Epcot at the F & W festival for dinner. On 1 other day we only plan 1 CS lunch on the DDP and Food & Wine "noshing" for dinner. This frees one TS for us. We then use this "extra" TS so that one evening we do a 2 TS dinner. This year it was Jiko and we loved it.
In summary, DDP, 7 nights, 7 CS, 7 Ts, 7 Snacks. We use the 7 snacks for F & W Boothe offerings. We plan one lunch ADR with dinner "noshing" that day, and we plan one day where we only have a lunch CS and the evening "noshing" around the world at the F & W festival for dinner.
We make ADR's for the dinners in WS that we enjoy

I don't go to the restaurants during food & wine, but I do the special events and dinners and the Party for the Senses, not just the food/wine kiosks in Epcot.

I am in the same boat as 2excited to sleep.

I am there for 7 days and want to take it all in. I know I want to have a special dinner a Jiko. I also know I want to do the GF for tea one day (probably my MK day) and the Spirit of Aloha.
My mom is thinking of coming know and mentioned Markesh.
If I book these for things and then plan to graze around the world will I be okay? I also want to do a special F&W dinner to but I have to see the schedule for that.

If you are using the dining plan, you may want to keep track of your TS credits and maybe use some of them for signature dining so you can spend some time at the food booths. Depending on the length of your stay and how many events you want to do, you may want to forego the dining plan if you intend to do F&W special events.

I personally wouldn't plan on eating a sit down meal on the day(s) that you plan to attend the F&W. We were on the dining plan this past November & by the time we were done sampling our way around the F&W, we had NO desire to go sit down & have a big meal. And DH & I are definitely big eaters, but after sampling food at just a few booths we were stuffed. This time we will NOT be doing the DDP & will be planning just a couple of sit down meals on non-Epcot days & that's it.
