Food, SQUIRREL, and When We Are Old...A March 2012 TR

After this we parted ways...but I DO want to add a little side story here...it is worth it, believe me!!!

BFF and her hubby tried unsuccessfully for three years to get pregnant with a second child. Guess what!!! She found out a month after Disney that she was pregnant!!! :dance3: She sent me a text saying...guess we brought a little of the Disney magic home with us! pixiedust: She is due at the end of November with another little boy! :earboy2:

After parting ways, our family made a beeline for Soarin. Now, you may remember from earlier in the TR that Charity is our little fraidy cat who is scared of heights. She would not go on Soarin on our first Epcot day on this trip. She had gone on it in March 2011 and cried the whole time. Well, somehow we convinced her to give it a try again since by now she had been on an airplane and done just fine. She went, and she did just fine. :yay: It is still not her favorite, but she knows now that she can just close her eyes on the parts that she doesn't like, and she is fine. I was very proud of her for doing this, and for overcoming her fear!

Yay for the new baby on his way! :dance3:

Glad Fraidy Cat gave Soarin' another try. :cheer2: Maybe it will get better as the years go on, too, and she can go from dealing with it to enjoying it. I respect the hesitation, though, and applaud her bravery. I don't have the slightest fear of heights or movement, but I'm not going to do Mission Space or a submarine or anything closed in. I keep telling myself to try Mission Space one time - that I really could make it through - but I think I would have nightmares at the very least, so I don't even try.

Sad to see this TR end...it was one of my favorites! But I know another one is just around the corner....only 300 something days away! Can't wait to meet you. You seem so nice....compared to that D...

Can't wait until you start your PTR.... I need to know your plans... Because if Suzi is stalking me - I will need to stalk you - I can't deal with her alone. :scared: :rotfl2:

She's just so mean :sad2:

Oh Suzi - I love you and you know it. :lovestruc I have a thing for your Stalker-ish personality. :rotfl2:

On no!!! It's so sad when a tr comes to an end :(

I have some comments to catch up on though...

Loved the aladin night - so sorry for the sickness to bring it down though :(

Was that seriously your back yard???? It's HUUUUUUGE!!! I wouldn't go camping at all if i had a back yard like that. HAHA It's awesome!

We looooved Sanaa too :) It's so nicely decorated and you cannot beat the view of the animals right outside your window! I noticed you didn't try the bread service - you need to do that next time - it's SOO yummy :P Glad all your meals turned out to your liking.

and the touring with 9 ppl. YIKES!!! We are very stingy with theme parks and refust to go with others. We've thought of it from time to time but always come down to the fact that we are comando them park visitors and just could NOT do it any other way. Not yet anyway, some day maybe.

Loved your AK pp pics :) :) Ours turned out quite aweful bc we happened to stop for our pics at a bad lighting time and got blown our and shiny in most of our pics. You guys had the PERFECT lighting!

Enjoy working on your new ptr!! It may be sad to finish up this one but at least you've got the next trip to plan for so let that keep you happy. We don't have another trip planned so I have nothing to look forward to even

Awww.... I am just so sad to see it over.

I do have to say that all of these bullets are probably my favorite highlights of your TR too.

It was so wonderful getting to know you and your wonderful family all these past months (has it almost been a year already?), I am so fortunate to have all these great Dis friends - and to count you among them. I look forward to seeing all of you in WDW next October, and hopefully spending a bit more time together. :)

(((Hugs)))

D~

I look forward to spending more time with you and your girls too!!! I plan to try to get my PTR up and going tomorrow...be on the lookout for an alert! :thumbsup2

Aw sad to see the trip report end but luvin the closing thoughts esp that last one :thumbsup2

I hope you will join in my PTR when I get it started! :goodvibes

Yes, I too have thought about trying Mission Space Green, but I get claustrophobic at times...so I just can't bring myself to try it. :worried: I was VERY proud of Charity for being so brave. :goodvibes

Yes, that is our backyard. We blessed to live in a house on 5 acres of land. We keep about an acer and half mowed in the front and back yards. We live 5 miles out of town... close enough for convenience, and far enough away enjoy the quieter, slower paced lifestyle of living in the country. :cloud9:

Sanaa was fabulous. We want to try Boma, but I don't think it will have the view or quite the same ambiance as Sanaa. We actually DID have the bread service, and I completely forgot to comment on it or even to take pictures. It was indeed delicious! :lovestruc

I hope to start my PTR tomorrow. I will come back over here to post a link. I hope you will join in! :goodvibes

Hi

I just spent some time reading your TR today. I really enjoyed it.

The big reveal made me cry.

Squirrel, sounded scary but hilarious. I would still be laughing about that one too.

Cruise sounded like so much fun. It is special moments that mean so much.

Love all you family Disney Movie nights. We haven't had one of these in a while but I use to do them all the time. I think it is time I renewed Family Disney Movie Night.

I am so glad your family is returning to the world in October!

Thanks for writing your trip report.

I am going to head over to your October PTR and start reading it soon.

:goodvibes

ooh I am bad... I was 20 pages back and missed the whole thign! but I finally finished up today on my lunch hour. I have thoroughly enjoyed your TR!
DAY 5, MARCH 12TH, 2012

When the lady said the magic words about needing audience volunteers I jumped up out of my seat and proceeded to act like a complete idiot. :lmao: Just imagine ole' oopsiDAISY jumping up and down, waving hands frantically in the air, all while yelling "pick me, pick me" at the top of my lungs. Yep~ that is just what I did, honestly! :rotfl2: I am sure my family was quite embarrassed, but I really didn't care. I wanted to be on that stage. I wanted to show the world my acting chops. I wanted to wear those ridiculous robes and hair coverings they give you. I wanted the FREE WATER!!! Yes, I wanted to do this thing...and I was the first one picked!!! :cool1::dance3::banana:
Here are a few not so great pictures as proof:

In this photo, I am on the far right on the end

OMG How awesome to be a volunteer! Such a magical moment and for sure your whole gang will remember crazy mom!

I enjoyed your Disney Junior show---we have not been since it was Bear &the Big Blue House -- we LOVED that show and were so sad when they stopped airing it. but its fun to see the made over inside. We probably won't be back there for a long long time as Katie is "too big" for it now.

What a bummer that you had a boring server at 50's. We ate there once, and had a fun server, though I wonder if they are more playful for a table of adults? I could see my DD getting very upset at being told to set the table or keep her elbows off or stood in a corner.

Can i say I am a bit jealous of your ability to totally let loose at WDW? As a mom my urge to constantly say no to candy never goes away. I have a hard time being mom and yet give in to the WDW sugar madness a little bit. but I loved your candy-eating kids waiting for F!.

I am with another poster - in 2011 we discovered the second showing by mistake and so while the hordes waited in line and watched the first showing, we rode TSM and a few other rides, then just about walked in to the 2nd show. Worth if you can stay up late!

Charity and I posed for a sweet Mommy/Daughter picture:

LOVE this photo of you two!!

Jillian? Well, she was enjoying her sugar choice of the night:

Well, it looks like she actually chose popcorn... Anywho, we finally got stampeded into the amphitheater and it was finally time...to wait some more. So we then proceeded to entertain ourselves doing what we do best...ENJOY!

How awesome that Gabe managed his own peg leg:rotfl::rotfl:

I multi quoted too much stuff & so I hope you remember what you wrote 3 months ago:rotfl:

Jillians' birthday celebration sounds like wonderful time for all of you. and PF looks like a fun place -- its on that list of places we'd like to go if we didn't spend all our $ and vacation time at DisneyWorld. LOL

So glad I saw this because you reminded me that I promised DH to get him the new Unofficial Guide.

I have that pancake mold, and LOVE making pancakes with it on weekends. just a bit of the magic!

Your trip was so much fun. I will pop into your PTR when I can though you can see I get waaaaay behind in reading. stupid job.

can't wait to see when in Oct you'll be there as we have an Oct trip to plan as well.
