Hi!
We are here now and I decided to just start my food reviews while we are here and everything is still fresh in my memory!LOL DH did not let me take any pictures because he wanted me to relax and take it easy on this trip and be in the moment. So with that, let's start.....We were not on the DDP for our AKV stay. We are now at SSR and are on the DDP.

AKV
Mara
We ate here twice. I ordered the pizza which I didn't realize would take so long to get. The kids had the mac n' cheese and the chicken strips, and DH had chicken strips as well. We all liked our food. The pizza is like a flat bread pizza and a perfect size for 1 person. The chicken strips were really good and DD loved the mac n' cheese. We ate here the next day and we got the same things except DH had a cheeseburger instead. He said it was fine. Nothing special, but not bad. There were salads at the grab n go section and there was a bakery and lots of snacks and drinks to choose from. Plenty of seating inside and outside and they had a tv in there playing old Mickey cartoons. The ceasar salad looked really good and we chickened out and didn't order the African stew! It looked good, but we are not adventures eaters and are picky!LOL The prices were reasonable and as DVC members we got 10% off. For all of us to eat it was under $30 both times. This place was far from our room and we definately would not be able to get it to eat in our room.

Boma
I had planned on us only eating CS at AKV but DH was sick of it and wanted to try Boma. We were able to get a ressie for Sat night at 9:10pm. On Sat we asked if we could eat earlier and we were able to eat at around 5:30(the kids were hungry) Now since we are picky and not adventurous this was a mistake for our family. We paid $93 and ate chicken, LOL!!! DS had Mac n' cheese and DD had the same and some fries. The kids chicken were chicken wings which my kids won't eat. They had macaroni and meatballs with sauce and I tried it in an attempt to get my kids to eat it and I couldn't even eat it so there went that idea!LOL:rotfl: I had the mixed green salad with balsamic dressing which was very good. Also had some rice that I can't remember what it was, but it was good, and the rotisseri chicken which was fantastic. DH and I ate the same thing. We tried the ribs and didn't like them because of the curry. The dessert was lacking for my kids who just wanted ice cream!LOL We ate cookies which were really good and we didn't like anything else but not because it was bad, only because we don't like most desserts. I know, we are too picky! Anyway I made DH try the zebra domes and he hated them! Go figure!;)

Artist Palette
We ate lunch here on check in day, which was yesterday!
We are now on the DDP so now the fun starts! We are picky but we do like to eat!! I ordered the flat bread pizza and got it with cheese only. It was great as usual. Plenty for me to eat alone. I also got a brownie which was OK and a drink. DH had the chicken strips which were good and come with these great homemade chips that we all loved! He got a chocolate cupcake which he loved and scoffed down! DS(4) had the mac n' cheese which is becoming a trend and he has never eaten before until now! He loved it and got a cocolate chip cookie and fruit roll up with it. He ate it all except the fruit roll up. DD(9) had the same sides and ate the cookie only and had the mini hot dogs which were good. We were full and happy!

Turf Club
I had ressies for 6:30pm but called to see if we could eat earlier. We were able to get in at 5:35pm. Now I had low expectations for this place. Not sure why but wasn't really looking foward to it. I booked it for convienece because we were staying at the resort that day and didn't want to leave to eat. We had a fantastic dinner. I server, Max was great and explained everything on the menu to us. For appetizers DH had the calamari which he enjoyed and I had the buffalo chicken strips with the sauce on the side. They are basically chicken strips and because the sauce was on the side, the kids helped me eat them. For dinner I had the prime rib. It was alittle fatty but had enough good meat on it. It was great and the red wine sauce that was on it was to dye for, so yummy and so were the mashed potatos!! I ate a lot!! DH had the pasta with sun dried tomatos and grilled chicken. He ate it all and I tried some and it was really good. DS had, you guessed it mac n' cheese and ate it all up! DD had the pizza without the chicken and had a chopped salad for appetizer. She was happy and said it was all very good. The kids were happy with dessert because they got their ice cream sundaes! It was vanilla icecream with little cups of sprinkles, hot fudge, and M&M's. DH and I had the chocolate lava cake with ice cream and a rasberry sauce. It was very good but we couldn't finish it because we were stuffed!

Next up will be CS at Epcot, not sure where yet, and 50's PTC for dinner!!

thanks for taking time out of your vacation to share with us, sorry you didn't enjoy Boma, it probably isn't the right place for people who like meat and potatoes, but at least you enjoyed most of what you tried.
Looking forward to more:thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing your reviews with us - great to hear another good review of Turf Club :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing with us!! I love the live reports, makes me feel like I'm with you!!!:yay:

Sunshine Seasons
We really enjoyed our food here, as usual! DH and I had food from the Asian section. We had the white rice with beef and a spicy chicken and I had brocolli with it and he had noodles. We both really liked it. The meat was good, not fatty and we both liked it more than the chicken. We were on the DDP so we were allowed 2 choices of entree and dessert. I can't remember what we had!LOL But it was good and we ate it!:rotfl: The kids had the kids meal with a sandwhich and they got to pick what they wanted on it. they both choose turkey and cheese and they also put lettuce and tomato on it. They both enjoyed it. The menu on allears has not been updated. From the Grill section there no longer is the chicken flatbread salad. I use to get that and reaqlly enjoyed it. They now have a half rotiseri chicken entree with mashed potatos and vegatable. We ate at lunch time and it was a little crowded but we still found a table easily. We loved it and will go back!

MGM
50's PTC
Let me just start this by saying we have always loved it here. When we arrived we were 15 min early and checked in and were told we might have to wait but they would seat us as soon as they were able to. We didn't mind. We were seated within 10 mins. We got a table with a tv and that was great. It took our waitress a good 10 min to come over to us. She wanted our complete order then, even what we wanted for dessert. I ordered the ceasar salad, pot roast and brownie sundae. DH ordered the srimp cocktail, pot roast and brownie sundae. The kids ordered the soup, salad, both had mac n cheese and sundaes. It took forever for our appetizers to arrive and then within 5 min our entrees came out. We enjoyed the appetizers but would have liked to not have to rush. Now the pot roast has always been my favorite dish here but this time, not so much. DH got better meat than I did. For some reason it was very stringy. I don't know how else to describe it. There were ver little mashed potatos, and a few strands of carrots. We were both disappointed and I really think it was just our dumble luck!LOL I have to just believe that they were probably having an off night in the kitchen. It was crowded. The kids wouldn't eat the mac n cheese after the first 2 bites and my kids love mac n cheese! So the waitress did bring over some chicken nuggets for DS. DD din't want anything. We got our dessert and it was all good. We just left feeling let down I guess! We will give this place a rest and not return next year.

Cosmic Ray's
I should've known better from our mediocre experience here in Oct, but we regretted eating here. Well we regretted what we ordered. We tried going to the noodle station in tomorrowland first but it was closed. So, we went here and it was packed but it was lunch time so we expected it. DS was flipping out because they had no hotdogs! So between trying to calm him down and get my food I was stressed! DH took DD and ordered their food because theirs was from another section. So I stupidly(is that a word?) ordered the rotisseri chicken which I had in Oct and thought it was flavorless, with chocolate cake. It was flavorless again, with yucky green beans. The mashed potatos were good. DS ended up having some of the chicken. DD had the kids salad with grilled chicken and hardly ate much because the chicken was fatty. DH had a cheese burger which he said was just OK. When we went here in April the food was fantastic, this time, not so much. So, lesson learned.

Tony's
Again this has always been a favorite of ours and we were looking foward to it. We arrived on time and had to wait about 10 mins. We were seated inside and were rushed from the minute we sat down. The kids were given the usual menu with coloring and activities on it. With no crayons. Sorry we don't have any since they were getting stuck in the wash with the tablecloths. That's what we were told by the lady who served us. Our waitor gave the kids pens. Anyway, they bought out the usual bread with tomato/pesto dip. This is a favorite of ours and I have even gotten the recipe and make it at home often. It was delicious and we ate it all! The appetizers were broughtout within 10 mins of sitting down. DH and I the tomato and mozerella salad and it was very good. DD had a salad which she liked. Our entrees were out the second we put or forks down! You could tell from looking around they were turning tables over fast. It was like they wanted you in and out and that was the priority. we have never experienced that here in the past and were surprised. Anyway, DS and I had the spagetti and meatballs because we liked it in the past, this time, not at all. Yuck is all I can say. DD had the pizza ninus the chicken and she liked it. DH had the chicken marsala which was new to us on the menu. I should've ordered that. It was delicious! The chicken was still on the bone and seasoned and cooked perfectly and came with mashed potatos. Really good and DH ate it all!! We were rushed the whole time until dessert. We noticed the restaurant looked like it slowed down a bit. It was now about 7:15pm.(mind you we were seated at about 6:45, shows you how fast it all went) but for some reason it took 20 mins to get our dessert, which was icecream! The kids were mad because their sundaes came out already done up, not like at the other places where they got to make it themselves. I had the ice cream bomb which was very goog. Not sure what DH had! Overall, another lesson learned. Next time, and there will be a next time, we will have dinner later, or right at 5pm so we hopefully won't be rushed, and I will order the chicken marsala!

Next up Le Cellier!

Enjoying your live report! Thanks for taking the time out of your trip to post! Here's what I really want to know...IF you happen to go to AK and IF you happen to go by the new Yak and Yeti, will you ask them if they will take your 2007 DDP? Some are claiming they saw them take it yesterday--others are saying they won't take it until 2008.

Enjoying your reviews. I hope they were just having an off night at 50s PT as DH declared the pot roast there the best he's ever eaten and was looking forward to eating it again in April :)

I am glad everyone is enjoying the reviews! Sorry no pics! I just wanted to add that I know I said we are very picky eaters, but I think I gave the impression we are meat and potatos kind of people. We are not. I never make any form of steak at home! We are pasta, chicken, rice, type of people! Just wanted to clear that up. We do enjoy a goof filet mignon when on vacation though!

On Wednesday we changed our plans a bit and stayed at the pool all day. So, another CS meal at AP atSSR. The food was great as usual. We had a veggie flat bread pizza, a cheese flat bread pizza, mini hot dogs and mac n cheese. For desserts we had cupcakes and cookies!! Yummy!

Epcot
Le Cellier
We were so looking foward to this meal! It was our first time and will not be the last! We had 6:30pm ADR's and arrived about 10 mins. early. We were seated by about 6:45pm. We had a terrific server and the place looked beautiful inside with the Xmas decorations. I couldn't wait to try the pretzel bread everyone raves about and it did not disappoint! We had seconds! The kids loved it. For appetizers DH had the beefsteak tomato stack and I had the steakhouse caesar. They were both very different and delicious. DD had the pizza without chicken as her meal and the apples with brown sugar as an appie, she loved it all! DS had fries as an appie and the beef with macaroni as his meal. He liked it and we all tried some and it was good, especially those fries!! For dinner DH had the mushroom filet and I had the 7oz filet with barbque sauce on the side. We practically licked our bowls!!LOL:lmao: It was that good. Best meal we had on our trip! For dessert DH tried the warm spiced apple crumble which he absolutely loved but couldn't finish because he was so stuffed! I had the sherbet which I think was a mango/melon flavor. I couldn't eat it all either. The kids had the ice cream sundaes and were happy. We rolled, I mean walked out of that place so full and happy!!:rotfl2: DH has requested we go here again next year.(which btw, he said we weren't coming back next year because of a trip to London/Paris we have planned. Disney has a way of doing this to him! I knew he couldn't not go back next year!LOL!!)

Thursday we had also changed our plans. We ended up going to DtD to eat lunch and shop alittle, then off to AK to do the safari and then onto Epcot for our 6:30pm ADR for Tuto Italia. We were originally booked for Chef Mickey's, but DH had me cancel it when we walked by Tuto Italia and he saw the menu and wanted to try it.

DtD Wolfgang Puck Express
This has always been a favorite of ours. It is a CS that has TS food and service! Can't beat that! DH had the rigatoni with chicken bolognese, I had the linguini with tomato, basil, and garlic and added chicken(was OK on the DDP, no extra charge) DS had the chicken fingers with fries, and DD had the pizza. For dessert we had brownies and cookies. The food was fantastic! Hot and fresh and only took a few minutes. There was so much food too. It was good we ate a early lunch, at about 11:15am. After eating we realized we would be eating Italian twice that day!LOL Oh well, we are Italian, we can handle it!;) The server even refilled our drinks and checked on us to make sure everything was OK. This is still our favorite CS place!

Tutto Italia
I was skeptical I'll admit because of some luke warm reviews here and the opinions of the prices. Maybe it is just because we are New Yorkers and are use to paying high prices for everything, but the prices didn't seem so out landish to us. From the moment we made the ressie in person the day before to the moment we left after dinner it was a great experience! The service was perfect, and the food, fantastic. It was second only to our dinner at LeCellier and it was a close second! The sat us within 5 mins of our ADR time which was at 6:30pm. The restaurant was busy unlike the night before from what we saw. We never had a glass go empty that's how on top of service they were. They brought out different types of breads with dipping oils, and olives, and some type of spread. This was a great start and a sign of things to come. We were actually excited to eat here!LOL We ate almost everything they had brought out in that mini appetizer! Then onto our real appetizers. Dh and I both had the fresh mozzarella. Boy was it fresh and we could tell! Oh it was so good! The kids both got the mozzarella sticks but they were no ordinary cheese sticks! This was the same fresh mozzarella with a battered crust cooked perfectly over sauce. It was so ggod and a big plate full for a kid. DH and I had no problem helping them eat it!! DD then had the pizza which was so fresh and delicious with the homemade mozzarella and dough. It was a big size too. She couldn't finish it so we helped her alittle!;) DS had the penne with meatballs and this was the most he ate at any dinner we had all week!LOL The meatmalls were mini and delicious! I had the penne caprese and I ate the whole bowl that's how good it was and it was a big bowl too! The penne was aldente, like I like it and the fresh mozarella and tomatos and basil were delicious! DH had the tagliatelle egg pasta. Basically it is egg noodles with a meat sauce. He ate it all and said it was so good! Now we were stuffed and the thought of dessert made me sick!LOL But, we pressed on! DH had to get the cannoli, his favorite dessert. It came with 2 and he couldn't finish it. He said they were good, but not Cannolis from Brooklyn! He prefers them made without the fruit. DD had a cannoli too and she loved it and ate it all! DS had chocolate gelato sundae. He loved it! I had the chocolate gelato and it was good but I only had a little. DH had some and thought it was very good. Everything we had here tasted fresh and homemade. The service, like I said was impeccable. We couldn't have asked for more. We will definately go back.

Our last day was Friday, yesterday and we no longer had any DDP credits. We planned on going to the MK until it was time to be back for our DME bus which was at 4pm. We really aren't impressed with the CS options at MK and this was the 3rd time we tried to eat at the Noodle station there and it was closed. Is it ever open? Anyway, it was so crowded in the MK. I was ready to leave. We decided to try eating lunch as a walk up at CP. We were lucky and got in by 12:15!! We had eaten here before for dinner but not lunch.

Crystal Palace
We were seated all the way on the right side of the restaurant along the wall of windows facing the Tiki room attraction. At least that's what I thought it was!LOL The server was great at refilling our drinks and cleaning plates and he was very busy with a lot of tables! The food was very good here and we were pleasantly surprised. They had chicken nuggets(very good) and mac n cheese and string beans in the kids section. There was also pizza but that was in the adult section. We tried it and it was OK. They had so many salada and fruit and deli meats, bread, garlic mashed potatos, loin of bork, flank steak, roasted chicken, broccoli, sauteed carrots, salmon, rice, and more. Assorted breads, and so many desserts like mini marble cheese cake, brownies, cookies, other cakes, and cookies. We ate like pigs! We got our monies worth that's for sure!LOL The bill was about $80 but worth it!

***I have to add a funny story here. Seated next to us was a family and there was a CM seated with them. At first we thought she worked there was still in uniform having dinner with family. Then as I looked at the family there was no way she was related!LOL They were right next to us so we could here their conversation and she talked to them like she had just met them. So this family caught our attention because of that and the fact that they had a little boy about 3 years old with them that was so misbehaved we couldn't believe no one was repremanding him. He was smacking the glass of the windows with his hands, running around and I even witnessed him smack his mother in the face! I though why isn't the father saying anything or acting like he cares because the mother just shrugged it off and acted like nothing! Anyway, we exchanged friendly smiles and bumped into them a few times to/from the buffet. We were seated next to them for a good 40mins. then they left. Our waitor then comes over to us and asks us if we knew who we were seated next to. We said no and he said that was Mike Lowe of the Boston Red Socks! Like I said we are New Yorkers and had it been a Yankee player we would've spotted him a mile away!LOL We were cracking up because it was our first celebrity experience at WDW and we were oblivious! Sure enough he was the grand marshall of the parade and we saw him and his family and took lots of pics this time! We didn't think anyone would believe us that he was even there so we wanted proof!

Sorry we didn't get to go near the new Yak and Yeti restaurant! We were at AK but only for about 2 hours.

Wow, I love the sound of Tutto Italia - gonna have to go back and look at the menu again, I think. I'd previously ruled it out but you make it sounds soooooo good.
