When you're only cooking for a couple people, it's still better to buy in bulk and repackage it. You can even make a couple of meatloaves and freeze them. Pull it out for a quick dinner when you don't have time to make a bigger one.
Taking my life in my hands here by mentioning the word "lake" - LOL
- but when I'm at the lake alone, I do "batch" cooking.. Big pan of mashed potatoes, several servings of veggies, several servings of meat,- spaghetti; casseroles; etc.. I then make my "own" tv dinners in sectioned off freezer/microwave containers.. That way I don't have to cook till I start to run out - just pop one in the microwave - yet I still save money by purchasing in bulk and cooking in "batches"..
