Food for Diagon Alley revealed!

Here is a list of food choices revealed today that will be in Diagon Alley.

Leaky Cauldron -

Main dish

Bangers and Mash (traditional roasted sausages with creamy mashed potatoes)

Toad in the Hole (traditional sausage baked into a Yorkshire pudding and served with onion gravy)

Cottage Pie (a savory combination of meat and vegetables in a potato crust)

Fisherman’s Pie (salmon, shrimp and cod baked together under a potato crust)

Beef, Lamb & Guinness Stew (served in a bread bowl)

Ploughman’s (a feast of English cheeses, crusty bread, cornichon pickles, apple beet salad, Branston pickle and a Scotch egg)

Split Pea Soup

Banger Pub Style Sandwich

Fish and Chips

...and more!

And you can finish off your meal with scrumptious desserts like Chocolate Potted Cream, Cranachan and Sticky Toffee Pudding

There will also be breakfast served (package required) at the Leaky Cauldron with two new breakfast items, only available at Diagon Alley: an Apple Oatmeal Flan with Yogurt and Fruit and an Egg, Leek and Mushroom Pasty.

Another must-stop during your trip to Diagon Alley will be Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshment, a cart located in Horizont Alley, where you can enjoy unique elixirs. Here’s how it works: you select from a variety of elixirs like Draught of Peace, Babbling Beverage, Elixir to Induce Euphoria and Fire Protection Potion, and then add the elixir to Gillywater. By mixing them, you’ll see your drink transform before your eyes and experience a delightful flavor surprise. Too cool!

It all sounds good...but man am I hoping they were kind to those with nut allergies, like my sons, and that the ice creams in Fortescue's are manufactured and served in such a way that they aren't all cross contaminated by the Strawberry and Peanut butter one. Or that they at least have one nut safe flavour. Fingers crossed. It would be so, so, soooooooooo amazing if they took that into consideration!

Oh! Hagrid had chocolate and raspberry ice cream for Harry in Sorcerer's Stone! I am rereading the series and saw that the other day! I was hoping they would have that one! Thank you for this list! Can't wait!

Don't know about cross contamination but most of the flavors sound nut free.

Strawberry and Peanut butter is one of the named flavors in the books (Harry's favorite). I can't wait to try it!

Yup they do sound nut free, that's why I am really hoping they made them safe. Very few of the candies in Honeydukes have nuts, but almost all are not safe for those with allergies due to cross contamination issues. Really disappointing. So I've got my fingers crossed for Florean's ice cream!

And of COURSE they had to have strawberry with peanut butter. I would be the last one to complain about something being HP canon! Just a whole family of die hard HP fans hoping that the two allergic ones don't get left out of the fun.

No not Butterbeer, but every non alcoholic drink in the Simpsons area is made with fake sugar (basically they are zero calorie sodas branded to the Simpsons them).

They opened the redone Simpsons land after the original WWOHP. Butterbeer was such a hit that they wanted to expand the themed drink idea. Some one over at US though having all of the drinks being zero calorie would appeal to parents. I have such issues with artificial sugars. They taste nasty and in moderation (like when on vacation) sugared drinks are perfectly healthy. If they had non sugar option that's fine, I just don't want all of the drinks to be sugar free.

I'm not sure if it's the Sticky Toffee Pudding or the Lady Grey and Lavender Ice Cream flavor, but DW is now pushing as hard as the boys for a trip sooner then Jan of '15! USF is doing a superb job of building the excitement, no doubt

Allergy family, here, too. The article made it sound like the butterbeer flavor was soft serve?! So, MAYBE, it's separate from the others?! Hoping there will be at least one flavor my allergic DS can try when we visit in November!
