We've been to WDW too many times to count. But on this visit, we tried some new food that we really liked. Just want to let others know in case they want something new also.
1. Captain Cook's at Poly - Pulled Pork - First time we tried this sandwich, we really liked it. When we went back for a repeat, the meat was dry. We took it back to the register & got a refund. Hopefully that was just a fluke. We would try it again. There are self serve packets of Bar-B-Q sauce, which we liked to add.
2. Wilderness Lodge's Roaring Forks - Wilderness Salad - OMG! We loved this salad; had it twice; wished we had discovered it sooner so we could have had it more often. Each time we only got one salad for the 2 of us - the serving is so large. It is made to order & each cast member was eager to please us when we asked for more dressing or more lettuce.
3. Trail's End - Dinner Buffet - Although not a new one for us, it's been a long time since we ate their dinner buffet. We usually went to WCC, but we don't like the new skillet. Glad we returned to TE. It was really good, especially the Bar-B-Q ribs. The sauce was flavorable, the ribs were tender & had plenty of meat. Additional sauce was available from the server or sometimes on the buffet. We also liked the salad bar. But the Pecan Bars knocked us out! So good we got the recipe - now if I can just break down the bulk measurements! Not crowded either.
4. Art of Animation - Pulled Pork - Obvious that we like pulled pork! Great sandwich. Actually we liked it better than the one at Captain Cooks. Ample portion of meat, meat was tender, sauce tasted great, & bun was soft. Wish we had found it earlier in the trip also.
