My DD3 was watching some WDW special with my DD13 and saw a princess/character breakfast and has informed me she REALLY wants to go to one. I was thinking Akershus, but we went there years ago and couldn't find a thing to eat (and we're "into to food"). Does anyone know if they offer more now (I imagine there's more at breakfast)?

Thanks!!!

We just went for the princess breakfast last week and here is what they had:

Brought to the table: scrambled eggs, potato casserole (a scalloped potato with cheese type thing), sausage and bacon - they will bring you as many refills as you like, although we didn't get seconds on anything

At the buffet - little cubes of cheese (when we were there, they only had one type - it was a white cheese), bananas, grapes, strawberries, cinnamon buns, croissants, bisquits and raspberry danishes

Drinks: apple or orange juice and coffee

We were a little disappointed in this meal. While the food was okay, nothing was really good. The princesses were very rushed. They only said a few quick words and then they were on their way. The restaurant is big, so I realize they have to keep moving, but they really, really rushed.

We saw Belle at the door, Mulan, Ariel, Aurora and Jasmine. None of the princesses are guaranteed.

Be sure to make a reservation - this is a popular character meal.

I would think your best bet would be breakfast. I agree with you we went for dinner and the food was not very good at all.

They don't even have pancakes or waffles or anything like that?

We're booking breakfast this trip, we did lunch last time and really didnt care for any of the food (the ricecream was ok). The reason we did it is for the princess interaction, so we will give breakfast a try.

We did this breakfast in January '07. My two girls loved it. We saw Belle at the door, Mulan, Jasmine (she had to be cold in her outfit as it was only about 50 degrees and rainig), Aurora and Snow White. There might have been one other, though I can't remember. They all were very nice and actually spent a good amount of time with each table. It didn't feel rushed at all.

As for the food, it was pretty much the same as the previous poster said. I didn't think the food was that bad. It wasn't spectacular, but we weren't really there for the food anyway. When we were there, they did offer us Mickey waffles. It did take a little while to get them, and our server told us they bring them over fromthe bakery next door. Maybe they have changed that to not offering them now.

I say go. If you kids like the princesses, it is worth it. We did it the first morning we were there and it was a perfect way to start our week. If your going for a great breakfast, I'd go somewhere else.

The food is what the other poster listed - but I give it a higher rating. It was all cooked very well and we really enjoyed it. We saw Belle at the door and Ariel, Aurora, Mulan and Snow White came to each table. I didn't feel that the princesses rushed - they stopped for a visit and talked to the girls, signed books and posed for pictures. If you are looking for princess interaction - I recommend this!
